343 - My wishlist for Halo 5 updates

The ability to see gamer tags in the lobby, along side the ability to mute annoying people pregame.
The ability to mass sell requisitions, it’s annoying selling them off one at a time.

Pretty easy list with no downsides anywhere… I agree.

Maybe they wouldn’t even have to change the layout of the matchmaking screen. Just make it like the friends screen, where you press y or another button and it brings up everyone in matchmaking, with all their stances (because having a stance no one but you can see would be kind of stupid, right?). That seems like it would be pretty simple. Also, I’d like for the req screen to not be as laggy.

And thats why 343 wont do -Yoink-. Do something that the players actually want?! haha good joke, have a mongoose skin

  1. Fix the grenade bounce physics.
  2. For WarZone vote on map/loadout like Halo 4.
  3. For big team battle Arena, vote on map/gametype.
  4. Fix rating/balancing system for better matchmaking.
  5. Split the Req packs into Cosmetic and Weaponry types, so there’s one of each for each Req Level (two req pack types for bronze, silver, gold, etc). Cosmetic = Armor, Helmets, Assassinations, gamer tags, Visors, etc. Weaponry = Vehicles, Loadouts, Power Weapons, Armor Abiities, etc. Weaponry packs cost 25-50% more Req points than cosmetic.

I would like to see a Flood Warzone variant where the dead Spartans come back a flood forms. Bosses would be flood forms as well. Final boss would be a Gravemind.

UI:

  • Show gamertags when all players have joined the lobby and the map is at the loading stage. - Medals tab in Carnage Report and all-time medals chest in the Service Record. - Network connection strength/ping displayed in the Scoreboard/ in the menus.Customisation:

  • Use our stances as part of the outro animation and carnage report - Selectable Spartan Chatter voices.Warzone:

  • Arrange Loadout Weapons into rows like the Power Weapons. Navigating is a pain when you have a large number unlocked.New / Old Gametypes and Gametype Ideas:

  • Infection - Race - Assault / Grifball - Warzone Clash: Default Warzone without AI or points for capturing bases, with no core destruction. Score is only earned through player kills, with the number of bases you control acting as a multiplier. - Warzone Skirmish: Arena maps and modes but with the REQ System; although only Loadout Weapons, Armor Mods and Power-Ups are available. Power Weapons are still on the maps.

I agree with this list.

No. None of this need to be added or should be. The UI is honestly fine as it is, much less cluttered and it doesn’t need to be all complex with all that other useless stuff.

Great ideas in this thread.
I’d like to see how many I have of a certain REQ while i’m browsing new stuff from a freshly opened pack. So if I open a pack and get a sniper rifle, and see I’ve already got 10, I can sell it. Rather than keep it and never remember to check until I’ve got a stack that could reach the moon.

Also I want daily and weekly challenges back.

‘Fix’ them how? What do you think is wrong with them? They work fine for me. I’m just as much a frag wall-bouncing fool as ever.

The frags have been rubberized, soaped up, and filled with helium. I want them to be returned to the old useable non-comical physics.

As it is now, I’ll throw a grenade at level ground 1/3 of the way between myself and a approaching spartan and the thing will bounce off the ground, fly passed my opponent and keep sailing until it’s out of range.

Or I’ll throw uphill and purposefully tip the crest (so that in any other Halo it would lose momentum and skip to land on, or just barely passed, the crest), but the grenade skips off the crest with momentum comparable to it being picked up and thrown again into the distance, finally landing and exploding well beyond the hill.

It’s just frustrating that they don’t drop and have the contact-friction like they used to.

Complex? How is removing arbitrary “player cards” that are just a random picture and replacing it with actual gamertags complicating anything? It’s simplifying it. In the past gamertags have been overlaid on the cards. Why do I want it? Because I want to see who I am playing and be able to mute them if it is some annoying as hell 10 year old squealing as loud as it can until the game loads.

And again, being able to sell all or many of unwanted req’s at once is simplifying the UI.

Honestly, the #1 thing I want aside from new modes, is for them to frickin fix the lobby chat.

It is so damn difficult to host full custom game lobbies when gamechat doesn’t even work in the menus. This is a huge bug and needs to be fixed pronto.

  • 5 more warzone maps - A better lobby system similar to reach (would like to mute people and see everyone else’s armor) - More playlists like infection and snipers
