I finally finish my forge map called sangheli battleground and u can tell by the screen shots its amazing anyways I invte a friend to play and we did after we got done I deleted everything off of it but it didin matter cuz I didin save it like that right and I did that cuz he wanted to show me his prefabs and I maxed out on budget so after that he shows me em and when he spawns I in our game glitches and it overrited my -Yoinking!- SAVE , IM PISSED AND VERY UPSET I JIST LITTERLY FINISHED THIS MAP AND I REALLY WANT TO KNOW IF U 343 CAN REVERT IT BACK TO HOW IT WAS BEFORE UR GAME SAVED IT FOR ME CUZ OF A GLITCH I SPENT SO MUCH TIME , I JUST WANNA CRY!! AND YELLL
From what I can gather, you’re mad at 343i for something that is entirely your fault. If your friend wanted to show you something, he should have done it on a different map instead of risking ruining yours. The fault here isn’t with them.
That being said, that does really suck, and you have my sympathy… I don’t think there’s anything that can be done for this right now. However, in a future installment, it would be nice if Forge had a feature to let you access different versions of a map, and have the option to revert to an older version. That way, if something does happen, it would allow the forger to go back.
In any case, I guess the best thing you can do is learn from this. Maybe save your map under a different name throughout the building process, to make your own restore points? You could have, say, Sangheili Battleground v.0.01, v…1.5, v.2, etc.

it was my "actual " first forge map (I actually made from scratch unless u count prefabs) I’m very upset I know there is most likely no way of gettin it back, I was hoping to get this in matchmaking honestly uhh idk what to do I dont want to forge anymore

I’m not sure but I was in party with friend and when he placed prefab our screens went black then came back on and it showed savin on side of screen I’m devasted

I don’t blame you, you put all of that work into a map, only to have it be gone forever… That is definitely extremely unmotivating, to say the least. Maybe take a break from Forging for a bit, play some regular matchmaking or even a different game, and then come back at it later? If you remember the map’s layout and whatnot, maybe you can remake it? Of course, no map is perfect on the first try, so you could take this as an opportunity to make it even better!

Yes i admit it i was mad because i worked a lot of a map…and it didn’t work.
But speaking of your problem, it’s your fault if you used an existed map you cared to experiment something risky.
Saying this, it would be good to have an undo button in forge. That could literally save the lives of many.
My suggestion is to not worry about, you can always remake another one, and maybe it will be even better.

I remember but god it would feel like years to remake it it to me so long cuz I the type to have every as perfect as I can get it lol make everything straight and not crooked and everything else

I really don’t wanna delete it till 343 responds but I mean the chances are its impossible to get it back sadly

Unfortunately i think it’s impossible to get that back, as for my map. The only thing i could say is to remake the idea you had of your map, and as i said before, it could become even better than you though.
