343 must make a PUBLIC halo survey

343 industries, Halo was once the envy of the video game world, top of the charts, a console seller, the soul reason to buy an xbox.

Even the most biased and blinded of your employees can see that halo is a shadow of its former, glorious self, the community is bickering amongst each other, to put I bluntly halo is faltering, dying.

The best way to fix this is by getting FAN feedback. Not only from this website, or Halo 5, but from every fan of this franchise, make a PUBLIC survey questioning fans on their opinions about the gameplay mechanics, micro-transactions, story, preferences, likes and dislikes EVERYTHING important. LET the fans, Help you shape halo and return our beloved game to the top of the industry.

Use the influential youtube’s to promote the survey, we need opinions from EVERY halo fan, even the ones who aren’t playing yet still want to return to play a HALO game and once and for all determine to general opinions of our community and assist in creating the best Halo game possible.

Us “classic” halo fans don’t argue and persist just for the sake of it, we love this game, like many others I grew up with halo. It is the only video that I truly care about, it honestly depresses me to see the state that halo is in at the moment.a PUBLIC survey is the bets possible chance 343 has at making a halo game, I hope someone higher up see’s this and can make it happen.

thank you.

They have the Feedback Program where you can fill out surveys from time to time about the game. Don’t see why it needs to be made public though.

> They have the Feedback Program where you can fill out surveys from time to time about the game. Don’t see why it needs to be made public though.

you need to be accepted into that program. It HAS to be public so we get opinions from EVERY possible halo fans, the classic fans such as myself, and the newer fans, all opinions matter, 343 are basically selecting the criticism and praise they take, which is killing the franchise because they are only getting feedback from a certain group of fans. This website is mainly new halo fans, however there are millions of classic fans who want to have their say, and DO on websites such as reddit and twitter.

It has to be promoted by halo youtbers and PUBLIC so ALL halo fans have a chance to have their say.

There’s no way you’ll get “every fan”, no matter how public they try to make it.

Where would they even put it, first of all?

If they put it on Waypoint, that’s a very small community and is biased already, because the majority of people who regularly come to Waypoint agree with 343i’s decisions in the first place.

On multiple sites? Well that gets bigger, but the majority of Halo fans don’t really go on forums all the time or follow YouTubers, plus at that point its harder to keep track of duplicate entries.

In-game survey? Well, that’s getting it to the people, but then that requires an update in itself.

But the biggest problem is: What about the people who simply don’t like Halo anymore, and therefore don’t follow it? If they were upset enough about what happened to the franchise, they wouldn’t buy Halo 5, they wouldn’t visit Waypoint, they wouldn’t follow YouTubers that play current Halo, they probably don’t have MCC, and on some occasions they probably don’t have an Xbox anymore.

That’s what happens with these surveys, they end up being biased in some way. A survey can tell anything that the creator wants it to say.

I think if he people don’t like halo anymore they won’t vote. And the reason for a public survey is to get the opinions from EVERY halo fan, or at-least every halo fan who wants to vote! it will show what the majority of halo fans want and help 343 in the development of the game. Use every outlet to promote the survey and those who are interested will take it, or would you rather 343 continue down a path that has the community split 50/50, the halo community is a joke at the moment because of the split.

yes but its only taking information from people ON THIS SITE. creating a biased answer, not really assisting in making halo better. One Website, even though its the offical website, does not represent every halo fan and our opinions.

Or they vote for stuff to make Halo worst and have their friends vote for it as well, and create alternate accounts. And then we have Halo 4 multiplayer only 10x worse.

Private, secure surveys exist for a reason.

and let hardly anyone know about it. Guarantee 90% of halo fans have know idea about the feedback program. As I said I do see your point, though halo is on a very steep decline, the numbers are there to prove, there is nothing to lose.

But chances are they stopped liking Halo for a reason. A reason that you would definitely want to hear. You said “Every Halo fan”, not “every Halo fan that still likes Halo.”

Chances are a good number of them were classic Halo fans that were unsatisfied with the newer Halo games and then stopped contributing to the franchise. Or maybe they were so pissed off at MCC that they sold their Xbox. Anything could happen.

“Majority of Halo fans” all comes down to who creates the survey. We already have a Feedback program through Waypoint, but does that count? No matter how you spread the survey, they’ll be a lot of bias in it, from the people they are pushing to answer it to simply how the questions are phrased.

And we should value the opinion of those fans who did stop playing halo, i stopped playing halo and I still push for a return to the classic style of gameplay. the waypoint surveys aren’t exactly popular, as in I never see anyone taking about them except for this topic ironically.

That is completely wrong, I’m sorry, 90% of halo’s fans don’t go on this website anymore, this site mainly consist of the newer halo fans, so they would factor out a large majority’s of the fans. Look at the YouTube videos and the ratings. Most halo fans DEMAND for halo to return its its formula, and don’t I use this website as their negative opinions are always banned. EVERY halo fan should have the chance to have a say in the development of This great game.

“The official site” is where you get the most biased study ever, especially since, you know. Other sites such as Reddit or Team Beyond, or social media such as Twitter clearly exist.

“We asked this place full of current Halo fans if they liked current Halo and a wide majority said yes!”

Well of course they did, they’re still there. The people that don’t like current Halo wouldn’t be on the forums of current Halo.

It’s like going to Halo 4’s forums and going “Hey was Halo 4 a good game?” The people there would obviously say yes, because that’s where Halo 4 fans tend to hang out, not the people who disliked Halo 4.

It’s not only about who’s there, it’s about who’s not there.

Prove your stats that “90%” of Halo fans don’t come here. Pulling percentages out of no where don’t make them true. Being part of the feedback program isn’t hard to do and you don’t have to do anything on waypoint to be apart of it. Surveys are emailed to you. Players who prefer to use other forums could and should just tell other players hey join the feedback program on waypoint.

Also as far as negative feedback on waypoint being locked just isn’t true. You can give negative feedback just give how you would want it changed or why it would be better. You have to be constructive. You can’t be like “it sucks” and leave it at that as most seem to do.

Don’t do that, don’t blame the community for Halo 4. Halo 4 was 343i’s choice. The feedback they were getting on the forums at the time was not in favour of sprint, or loadouts, or perks, or ordnance. I remember the threads.

They even had a working classic Halo game going before they decided to change because it felt “too traditional”.

They did that all on their own accord and it was that failure to take feedback from the community that led that to actually take feedback and remove most of that stuff for Halo 5.

(and it’s hard to argue “the wider audience want it” when they abandoned Halo 4 faster than anyone else.)

Please don’t cross post topics, thanks
