Since people (who aren’t youtubers, reviewers, or streamers) are getting their physical copies of the game early, and are able to play right now, it’s only fair to allow people who ordered the digital version to play. Otherwise, what exactly was the point of the digital version? And why does a physical copy code allow instant access, yet those of us who ordered the digital version directly from Microsoft all have to wait, even though we can have the full game preloaded?
Also, there’s the fact that the physical PC version is Europe-exclusive, so they’re the only ones that have a chance at this benefit. Everyone else gets shafted.
How is this situation, in any way, fair?
I know this is petty, but I have been looking forward to this game for a while now. To find out that only a specific set of non-reviewer/youtuber/streamer people get to play it before release just because some retailers said “screw it” to the official release date really sucks.
