Ok. I have been playing halo for a long time. It just seems like the matchmaking is getting worse. Not to mention the lag and when you empty a clip into someone, they don’t die. WTF! Seriously you guys need to do something. Send a update for the game already or let the community know what is being done about it. I am about to pack up and move onto something else. Just like I did with Reach.
If you are experiencing lag to that degree, then it is quite likely that you are either connecting to a bad host (one of the players in the match is dragging everyone down), or you are experiencing networking issues on your end of things.
Have you ruled out any possible problems on your end? :\
Yea, it isn’t on my end. It just seems like it is every other game i play. It is never consistent. But when you empty a clip from the assault rifle and they shoot you twice and die. Then there is something wrong. Been running across whole teams like that.

I think you’re lagging, or getting killed by a lot of light rifle users/bolt shot users. It may not be you, it may be someone in your match.

This is worth considering. Further information on Halo networking:
Halo games are peer-to-peer. Instead of relying on dedicated servers, a console belonging to one of the players in a match is used as a server (and that player is called the “connection host”). If the host lags, they’ll drag everyone down.
Usually, the game will detect a lagging host after a short while and perform a host migration: a different player in the match becomes a replacement host, and all game-related data is moved to their console. When this happens, you’ll be stuck at a black screen with the scoreboard on it, until the migration is complete.
I don’t mean to patronize you, OP, but one other possibility is that you’re being teamshot without realizing it. During a particularly fast-paced exchange, it can be easy to miss the fact that targets other than those you’re focusing on are firing on you.
