Honestly as the title says they do so many things to halo that just make no sense…. They must have a big ego or something which they shouldn’t because quite frankly Bungies halo is better than your halo and that’s a fact….always changing what made Bungies games great sure there are quite a few things in this game that are good mainly ranked because it plays like halo to me minus the radar, but I also see a lot of bad and always trying to reinvent the wheel so to speak there’s a good reason why Bungies games were better and more popular and you guys over at 343 are always discouraging it and it shows. Another thing I’ve been seeing is there are no armor unlocks playing campaign after I already payed 60 bucks like how greedy could you and Microsoft be??? What a shame you guys give me no reason to give you a single dime to be honest…
Im hoping a lot of the issues currently with this build is because it’s considered a “beta” because if the full game is like this I’ll probably have to wait another 2 years before you guys can get your crap together… rant over!
I agree, they change so much things that were great before, instead of improving these things, they throw them away to be replaced by worse systems like the XP, Armors colors and parts, gameplay elements like radar range, player collision, removed the ability to chat with the enemy team and so on.
Mmm, not in my experience.
Customization? Worse.
Progression? Worse.
Reach wasn’t missing 36 weapons or various vehicles (but it was not totally innocent in this regard)
Reach had assassinations, forge, multiplayer campaign on release.
Reach was not a blatant money-grabbing sellout of a game.
I personally also preferred armor abilities to multi-use equipment but I know that is controversial.
One of those most hated things, though, was sprint… which this game has as default for everyone.
I will say I like the movement of this game better, though.
Yes I’ve seen Chaz’s twitter post.
While often data miners can be correct, there nothing to say that they have found everything, or that the Lockers are the only way to earn items. Plus there’s no attempt to source the information, just a list of txt and some pics.
Maybe we can wait until the game is out before we light our torches.
True, but I don’t expect it to be much better, after the price of the shop items and the virtual limitation of colors and armors parts permutations, the free tiers of the battlepass which are mostly challenge swaps/xp bonuses, it seems they don’t care about giving basic customization without paying .
I didn’t think I would say that but the COD battlepass are better value than this.
And what’s the alternative?
Throw data mined and leaked info at them, and hope they make some changes?
They’ve made it very clear how they feel about leaks. I doubt they would even entertain it.
If it is true, once the game is out and the masses get to see what little is on offer in the Campaign, fans will raise valid complaints and have the obvious proof to back it up.
Right now all they have is some MS paint job by a salty twitter user, aha!
Innocent until proven guilty, right?
You know what makes even less sense to me? Comparing 343 to Bungie like 343 was just expected to copy and paste some hybridized versions of Halo moving forward. Bungie’s era was great, don’t get me wrong, but that doesn’t mean moving forward 343 should just keep doing what Bungie was doing. That’s why it’s called ‘moving forward’.
Don’t get me wrong, 343’s made some pretty bad calls, but basically saying they’re bad because they’re not copying Bungie is honestly ridiculous. Besides that, Bungie ain’t doing so hot these days, in fact they’re even worse now than you’re claiming 343 to be.
I see what you’re saying but they go too far away from what bungie did in the first place. I’m
Not saying they should copy Bungie 100% with your moving forward narrative as they are the own company because I’m almost positive there probably 1% of the original Bungie employees left if that, but they go to left field when they should go right and that’s why fans don’t appreciate there efforts whether they be right or wrong…
But that’s what happens when a different company takes the reigns. Ultimately, so long as it retains a player base, it’s not doing bad. It’s not gonna be what you remember and yeah, that sucks, but we can’t just keep expecting that the game devs are gonna give us what we want all the time.
Personally? I just adapt and ease into the saddle whenever 343 adds something new, which is saying something cause normally I hate change in the real world around me, but I’m more forgiving when it comes to games.
Agreed, it’s a “beta” right now not everything is suppose to be shown, if this is all they had for launch (obviously campaign is another thing), this would be pretty -Yoink!- lol. But as a beta, it’s pretty decent. I really think people don’t pay attention. If anything though 343 tends to always do random -Yoink!- that doesn’t make sense. Like who is designing somethings (the progression system was an obvious one), some of these weapon designs are -Yoink!-, yes they have their own “curves” to play and I get the intention to make weapons have their neeshes (which bungie often failed at making all weapons viable), but I feel they ignored the one thing, using real data/observation to determine how weapons tend to be used, how engagements tended to play out in other Halos. Like the pulse carbine, I know how to use it, but it needs to have extended range (red-reticle), to be more viable in the engagements it’s intended for, I often find someone steps back 2 feet or so and suddenly my pulse carbine is useless.
