With all the posts about Monetisation’s, The Store, The Battlepass, Paywall’s, Armours and Colours… id like to say this.
HALO 5 made $500 million in the 1st week from release.
Halo gawd dam 5!!!
343 and Microsoft easily made a BILLION with Halo infinite. They need to start treating their fans with respect and not bleed us dry because we’re fans.
So please discuss add in points and facts.
My personal thoughts,
I already spent €569.00 on 343 and Microsoft. I got the Halo 20th anniversary Xbox series X and I didn’t get anything for halo infinite. You get the campaign with the console and thats it. Nothing extra that I can see not even a nameplate. Halo 4 people got a unicorn helmet. It’s halo’s 20th anniversary and I get what feels like nothing. Now with the store and my Hazop helmet locked away. It feels like a kick in the teeth and getting charged for it.
The sad part is people who spent money on the packs in Halo 5 had no idea how dumb they were since by the time you hit like level 100-120 you would have gotten almost everything for free besides pro team packs and a couple other packs. This game you have to spend money to progress.
You’re lining Micro-$oft’s pockets when you buy their console. 343 gets their lions share cut from sales of the campaign and the in game microtransactions, so until some data comes out regarding revenue from those two sources, we have no comparison on how much of a profit or loss Infinite is within whatever timeframe.
Yeah I’m over the way they have treated Halo fans will still enjoy the older games, but I honestly don’t think they will implement Co-Op effectively and MP needs serious work to feel finished.
if the only reason they did this, was to make a very BIG BUCK, and then promptly improve the game? sure, fine, i get it, whatever. it really depends on what they do:
if they’re more player first in the future, then cool. i’l be accepting of what we have so far, whatever
BUT if they keep going down the money first route… halo is dead to me
