343 made the Default Controller Setting Advantage

If you are like me and do not like the little Default Controller Settings 343 designed then you are most likely experiencing what I am. The default setting allows users to just hold the trigger down and automatically scope back in once hit. If your Smart-Link/Zoom is set to the right joy stick (like Halo has been for the last 14 years) then you must continuously press the zoom. Why would they make such an unfair advantage for the people that use default?

Considering the nature of the inputs, did you really expect anything different?

I’m just wondering why they are catering to the CoD kids so much… They aren’t going to stick around once new CoDs are released and such… They wont take any of CoDs population.

Cod kids… Battlefield, Titanfall, Destiny. This is a common control scheme, get off the whole cod killing halo train.

Who cares? It still doesn’t deny the fact it’s an unfair advantage…

Force right trigger users to let go and press it again to scope back in. Problem solved.

But they won’t do that because they want to cater to the other game’s population…

343 managed to noobify Zoom by making it automatically re-enter scope by not taking the finger off the trigger. Cod, Battlefield, Destiny, it doesn’t matter what it’s called. Halo needs to go back to being the game to set its own trends and being original. Everything about Spartan abilities is generic and Guardian’s Aesthetics (ex: typical modern rocket launcher reskin) aren’t helping. If you don’t see how 343 is chasing other game’s behind, then you are wearing the modernizing generic fps rose tinted glasses.

I agree, especially with the Spartan AI chatter during gameplay, the 45 medals you get for a kill, Breakout gametype, lower kill times, and flinch damage/recoil on the BR.

Oh yea and the ridiculous loading animation when you spawn/swap weapons. Like what the hell? When I swap to the snipe I want to be able to IMMEDIATELY zoom(like in the older Halo games) not wait for my to guy to “-Yoink-” the gun…

Launch money. They’ll cripple Halo for that two week launch money.

I’m glad they’ve put the zoom on the left trigger, after going back to MCC to play a few games, zooming in by clicking the stick just feels clunky and awkward

lol are you serious? i thought that my long range shot was garbage, this totally explains why i suck at long range encounters.

I don’t care if they put Smart-Link there… My problem is you are allowed to just hold it down and automatically zoom back in when de-scoped. They need to adjust it to where you have to let go of the left trigger and pull it again to re-zoom.

Let them zoom. If you shoot them them I’m sure descoping and scoping back in sets their aim off a good amount.

I’ve contently been playing bumper jumper with no issues. If anything I hate that I have to take my finger off my aim to hit thrusters when I’m in a shootout now. I always liked that I didn’t have to worry much about moving between the analog stick and buttons when playing halo.

Default controls need to go. The Halo 4 control scheme should be made default.

Loll fair from an advantage that’s like saying bumper jumper is an advantage before one can jump and not get their thumb off the RStick. And it’s not cod walking around Zoomed is a disadvantage
