Perfect…there is NOTHING else that comes close to how i can describe new forge. 1 million dollar budget, no distracting background enviroments, just the perfect amount of open area to work with, 3 maps designed specifically with forge in mind, magnet snap, lock feature, individual modifiers, ability to view what you grab…BS angel please give my special thanks to whoever decided these things, from forgers everywhere i think we all agree…THIS WILL ROCK!
I agree… they are taking forge the right direction
lol, you cried!
No but seriously…Can’t wait to play for 5 seconds, maybe unlock an achievement, then get back to the fray. But, who knows, I might LIKE Forge this time. Huh.
Live to Win!
Link or it dident happen
It looks really good although im not a forge guy – I still can’t wait and see what people come up with …
Lots of good news 3 forge world maps
> Link or it dident happen
I didnt film myself crying…but just me admiting it…that should be enough
3 maps built specifically for Forge, eh? I hope at least one is at least as big as Forge World. The one thing that map lacked was an enormous flat exterior.
The map demoed looks okay, a bit small for Forging, but great for MP.
So that means we have four more maps to be revealed before launch? Or rather, four to be mentioned at all, seven to be named, six to be shown. Or did anyone see the name of the map shown yesterday?
the new forge is so freaking awesome i cant wait till i can play with it
> I agree… they are taking forge the right direction
Interesting, considering they aren’t taking it anywhere.
I’m angry.

Care to elaborate please?
I hope we can make well-designed space ships and even make more and move forward.

You’re pretty pathetic…

Is that really necessary?
where is this forge info?
Really hoping that one of those maps is a flat and open area like Sandbox.
I am a massive forger and i am happy about these changes. 3 new maps, that map Ravine looks amazing. I have to wonder if what we saw in the distance is also usable.
I like the new additions and options but I’m a little disappointed. I was hoping for more map editor and environmental features but it doesn’t look like we’ll be getting those.

Having spent a rather considerable deal of time trying to circumvent and avoid the faults and shortcomings in the forge tool provided in Halo Reach, as someone who has been an active member mainly of the MLG forge community but to a great extent also Forgehub, and as someone who has had my designs and concepts forced down the drain by the stupid limitations overseen by Bungie, I’ve managed to gather a lot of knowledge about the forge tool and attain a certain insight of what needs to change.
The changes 343 have presented do little to address the core problems of the Reach version. They are all small and minor additions that only affect the actual building process, feautures replacing manual processes that you had to do in Reach, and tools to help in preventing making mistakes that would force you into doing more manual work, but they don’t provide anything that can’t just be substituted or compensated for with personal perseverence or knowledge of the tool. You still have the same purely geometrical and aesthetical limitations.
features I and most members of the active serious forge community were expecting were resizing of objects and exchangeable textures of objects.
Now we’re still stuck with using a certain object with a certain look and texture for certain shapes and geometry which means we can’t differentiate our maps from each other, we can’t make things look the way we want them to. And judging by the range of pieces shown in the video we’ll be stuck with the exact same dullnes and washed out monotony in colours and aesthetics. I suppose separate black and white is better than grey though.
I’m completely and utterly dissapointed. We have only gotten a subtle hint of evolution, progress and advance, a mere footfall, while we should be seeing leaps and major improvements increasing the freedom of creation for the dedicated and devoted map designers and forgers.

Seeing all the inexperienced scrubs who have no idea what they are talking about, cheering in illconcieved burst of stupid happines while the core problems fully remain is truly enraging to me.
And yes, I do realise there are things yet to be revealed and elaborated on.

We haven’t seen everything yet. And it is an early build of Forge.
If you wanted to be able to make 100% user created content, you’ve picked the wrong game.
Hell, you’ve picked the wrong platform.
