As most of us will know, 343 said that the major reveals from Hog Wild have been moved to this month’s DLC drop. They have been very smart in doing this, because this month’s DLC will be the biggest yet. And at E3 they will be able to get some players back, as when they see a free DLC with massive amounts of content, they’ll come back. Pretty much everyone watches E3 nowadays, so gathering an audience shouldn’t be that hard.
It was a good plan. Hopefully it is some really great stuff!

Yah, they might’ve been yelled at because HW was so small but they didn’t know that warzone firefight would be even bigger.
I’m excited for this update and I hope it’s packed with loads of good stuff, my dream item would be bayonet assassinations and I desperately hope they are in the update!

343 has actually been very smart about a lot of stuff, it’s too bad people can’t see that most of the time. 343 aren’t psychic, they can make mistakes, but overall they are trying and for the most part succeeding.
Except it is just Warzone Firefight + Hog Wild. While I’m glad they are taking time to polish it.
If I’m promised two cookies, I could get one cookie one month and the second cookie the next month, Or I could half a cookie the first month, and 1 and 1/2 a cookie the next. It’s still the same. Of course Firefight will be big, but that’s because it includes part of hog wild, not just its own merit.

I just hope we’d get more actual maps - there are way too few maps for Warzone and Warzone Assault. There should be like 7-10.
But yeah… I guess it’s too casual for Microsoft as it isn’t e-sports thing.
Still, good move as they have more time to get things done as well.

Yes they did.
Not only will we get more content, but the content will be tested more, meaning that we get better content as well. I would rather wait another month and get better content than get something that should be better now (in the HW update)

It’ll be interesting to see. People are bound to come back, but how much? It’s been so long since the game launched and just recently Overwatch ended up being a pretty big success, so how many people will even care enough to come back to Halo 5? Definitely something worth keeping an eye on.
I’m pretty disappointed they’re trying to use Hog Wild to fluff up the Firefight Update for E3, but I can understand I guess.

Depends on how many new things coming, if custom games split screen is in it, you would get a crap load to come back. Just forge world and firefight comes, only reach lovers will come back which isn’t very many. If they added the saber from long night of solace into forge world, than they might get at least 100,000 thousand of people back.

Maybe. But first impressions are everything and given how Halo 5 didn’t have a very good first impression, people may not care to come back. I’ll expect a boost for a week or so that tampers off again to a little better than where it is now.
