So I have just started playing the DOOM Beta and I’m really enjoying myself. Gameplay is solid and fast paced as crap, gory, and just all around fun to kill stuff. I’ve seen people argue it is like Halo, and those people are, for lack of a better term, silly.
Now to the main point of this post. 343i, you had a good, solid customization set up with Halo 4. I would go as far to say Halo 4s customization was slightly more in depth than Reach’s, both had great systems. Now, with Halo 5 we took several steps back, only being able to change chest, helmet, and visor, along with color. Why not simply allow us to still edit shoulders and legs, just make them seperate REQs? DOOM takes the kind of customization that Halo had, and shows you how you should really do it. 343, play DOOM and see the errors of your ways. We can edit arms, legs, chests, heads, colors, patterns, taunts, even make our own unique gun skins, while you limit us severely.
I love Halo 5, but the customization is one of the WORST aspects of this game. It needs a complete overhaul so that we can feel unique and have personal satisfaction. In DOOM you get new armors and colors almost every game if you level or through random drops. Cmon guys, get you junk together.
The one thing that I love about doom is taunting after every kill. I NEED it in Halo. T-bagging is not enough.

Ready Up Live said something like this in his Livestream of the closed beta. He says that DOOM’s customization is what Halo needs and should have had.

Isn’t UT a FPS? I played the alpha, and it was first person, so…?
The UI is the thing that needs to be overhauled the most. Just choosing an armor you recently unlocked is painful.
Doom has a damage and dirt level bar, Doom has Matt, Metallic and gloss finishes and full colour customization and you can do all this to your weapons as well! I love it!

Agreed, I would love dooms level of customization in halo
Sorry OP you have no credibility if you liked H4s “customization”… it was one of the worse imo
I have to say, 99% of these things types of posts I view as ‘come on man, it doesn’t really matter’…
This one, however, I agree with 100%. Why on earth take a step back on something like this. It truly is mind-boggling.

DOOM gameplay is absolutely nothing like classic Halo gameplay. Yet, this is how Halo 5 should be? Care to elaborate?
Thank you 343, for preventing some of the eye burning armor combinations of the past by making armor a singular customization option.
Everyone says they want Reach era customization…I saw what y’all came up with. Hard pass.

nope, is first person you had an option to view in third, but i guess just on 2003 afterwards idk, i just played the 1st one and 2004 and 3

- Didn’t mention anything related to old Halos 2.Literally states this DOOM gameplay should of been Halo 5 gameplay 3.Its been elaborated and quack.
