I’m just saying they know what we want as a ranking system.
So why would they go through all the trouble of making it and not
put it to it;s high potential.

I think they’re not lying and it will be on Waypoint only like they said.
Then in a few months bs angel will probably say something like “now the CSR has been around a while and we’ve had time to perfect it we’ve decided to roll it out in-game during the next TU”.
It wouldn’t surprise me anyway.
To be honest, I’ve seen that many CSR topics today that I really don’t care anymore.
To promote the use of waypoint?
To not hurt the feelings of those who suck at the game?
Idk?
Even if they didn’t want to hurt the hyper-sensitive feelings of those people, all they would have to do is put the rank in the service record.
lol, they will hide CSR on waypoint, but no SR, that’s peculiar.
If a 90 page thread on 1-50 VISIBLE ranking system didn’t change their mind, nothing probably will.
Personally I feel the hold on CSR was to make sure it worked right with Smartglass.
I think it will stay on Waypoint to force the use of Smartglass, as it would be more beneficial for the player to access the mobile app using the Smartglass option as opposed to signing in though the Xbox app or through the PC.
There have also been problems with getting Smartglass to work on some android devices. So I feel that could be another reason for the hold up, making sure that it works correctly across all devices.
They didn’t “lie” about the Mantis.
They stated that the “Cyclops Mk. II” featured on Adrift wouldn’t be usable. Why people still call it a Cyclops when it has none of the Cyclops features and resembles an upscaled Mantis is beyond me.
Making CSR visible would require a UI change, which would require a TU.

That could be true wouldnt be the first time something like thats happend.
I dont think that its that big of a deal. were getting a ranking system weve been asking for. One little setting shouldnt be this big of a deal.

Oh no absolutely… If the reason it was held up was to make sure that it works seamlessly with Smartglass, I support the the time taken to make sure it is done right. Of course I would also like to hear something like " Hey guys, Smartglass isn’t working out right now, so we are holding up the implementation of CSR until we know it is working correctly"
Smartglass was having problems with android back in Nov, so I think the community would have been a little bit more at ease if they knew, all that work was being done to make sure that CSR could be viewed in real time through your mobile device while playing, across all devices so no one felt left out.

It said is it is visible per playlist and your highest CSR is on Waypoint. Is it only visible for you?
Honestly, I think that it probably will be in game, in some sort of way.

They say optimizing the ranking system, “AND” working to integrate it into your waypoint player profile… etc. So they do not actually say that its just on waypoint, they are just saying that they are working on integrating it into waypoint. They could very well already have the in game feature close to completion. NOT ONCE does it say that it won’t be in game. It just does not state that it will only be on waypoint, so do not jump to conclusions.
When they clearly state that it wont be an in game feature, then you will know for sure, but for now it is just left up to the community to interpret.

Ahhh I see, but what about those people who don’t own a tablet or smartphone let alone Smartglass. I paid for a half finished game. Normaly there’s a beta, now there was no time. MS wanted this game come out last christmas. Almost every game has a ranked side and a social side. Why did we have to wait for 5 months, while lots of players left the game? Normally they would delay the game. Nobody would have a problem with that.
Key series like Zelda and Mario (platformers) are released when they’re done. Why? Because they have to stand for quality!

Hmmm you could be right…let’s hope you are…and let;s wait only 2 and a half months! (and let’s hope some people will still play it).

I think what it the setup will be is that you can see every rank in every play list but your best will be the only one visable in your player profile. So say i click on your GT and it takes me to your profile, ill see your best CSR rank.
Hiding your csr rank is pointless, I don’t go and check to see if I ranked up or not after every game, why would I, I don’t have all the time in the world to waist. I think almost everybody likes to see there progress and rank even if there not the best. That’s how hey keep the population from dwindling down to nothing. I think it’s rather stupid and pointless and quit disappointing.
343 guess what, everyone wants to see there rank, make it readily accessible and watch your population flourish.
I just been checking my rank in between games on my phone/laptop and then putting it as my service tag, example: R 28. It’s kinda of a hassle but I hope it catches on because I like to see what my competition is ranked and my team mates as well. Just an idea.
