343 Layoffs WOW

To be fair. Halo infinite had tons of time. Yes covid happened, but the original launch date was already 5 years after the previous game, and the game was due to come out only a few months after its disastrous showing

Microsoft may make a bunch of bad calls, but I can see why they’d want some delivery after waiting half a decade and pouring money into them.

That’s the thing. We know dev only really formally started in late 2018-mid-2019, IF THAT.

It wasn’t in development for five years.

Has since launch, and we all know it - and frankly these forums really do not help at all.

Not hard to do, ravenously rueful bunch that lives in the past with a Bungie that does not exist anymore and hasn’t since 2012.

Not to risk getting too political here but, that’s Capitalism for you. They made their money back, nothing else matters.

It wouldn’t surprise me if the morale is at all time low because whenever there’s a massive layoff the people who are to blame for the **** ups get off scott free and stay aboard

Yeah I know , it’s just sucks , I’m 32 and been a halo fan since the first time I picked it up and got obsessed with the story and how the multiplayer brought me and everyone so much joy. I’m a huge fan and to see where it is today is a huge disappointment and it’s like where do we go from here ? I still play it everyday even though it’s broken but man this is rough
