Now that i have you attention ill start off with saying that i love halo 4. I dont think the game is perfect of course but its an amazing game on its own and hell still amazing when compared to past halo games.It feels like a lot of fans cant accept that bungie’s halo IS dead and thats not 343’s fault.There are so many posts that bash the game and tho some of them are constructive a lot of them just make you wonder, " are they actually mad at a bad game or have hurt feelings cause its not bungie". This is a NEW trilogy with NEW dev team, and you wanted the same OLD game? I loved halo 3 and disliked REACH(if anything “killed” halo its that game-_-)but i dont want another halo 3, I still have my old disk for that. If it helps look at it as halo 1, cause ur not getting bungie’s halo back EVER! Accept that and enjoy the new trilogy, or go play the old one

All I want is a Halo game to play. Yes, a Halo game that I grew up with and loved. Halo 4 doesn’t have the core to run like a Halo game, in my opinion.
I think it’s okay to try new things, but if you call a game Halo some things just can’t be changed.
One of Halo’s prime features has been starting on equal footing and earning an advantage by playing well. Thus you are rewarded for playing well and punished for getting outplayed.
Power Weapon control is probably the most significant part of getting an advantage and I feel that power weapon control is gone in H4.
You NEVER know what guns the enemy have or when they have them. Ordnance makes the game incredibly random.
For example on Guardian in H3, I knew when the Sniper spawned and I knew to be careful, because a sniper was on the map. This made my gameplay very different, when the enemy team had sniper tower control.
This aspect of Halo is completely gone now. You can’t hold down an area to get the power weapons that area provides, since the weapon spawns are completely random. You can’t counteract your opponents weapons, since you have no idea what they’ll have or when they have it.
It’s a damn shame, since these things were some of the most fun elements of competetive Halo.
I dont understand how it killed Halo… This is the game that brought Halo back on the map and even PC and PS3 gamers are talking about this great game and the game have been out for about two weeks now so I would say that it is too early to start making accusations. And 7/10 of the people complaining here on the forums have more deaths than kills on their service records so I think that the reason why they do not like the game because they can´t play as good as other players.

as someone who doesn’t have more deaths than kills. I will say that 343 shouldn’t had changed so many things that ones made halo.

Well instead of complaining you can ask for tips how to improve your gameplay and learn how to play the game like everyone else who have a 1,0 K/D or above.

I have a decent K/D (1.48).
Out of the 1744 kills I have 1024 of them are headshots.
I have a few onyx medals.
I’m not bad but I’m not good either,and I consider Halo 4 a bad game.Claiming most complainers are bad players is just a foolish argumentum ad hominem.

me asking for tips hahaha you are kidding right. Look at my stats and say it again 
My K/D is over 2.0 and I have been good at all the other halo games.
Besides that I also think this game isn’t as good as everyone is saying or claming it to be.
343 screwed it up by adding too many COD elements. Not saying it’s a cod clone or anything but they added many cod elements and they shouldn’t have
343i needs to bring back some core game mechanics, remove sprint, make ordinance drops completely go, make weapons have static spawns eg: sniper towers, br/dmr ammo on map, fix the damn respawn locations, they are atrocious and no insta respawn. oh and the biggest thing. De-Scoping when zoomed in and shot at.
Btw i have almost 1.5kills per death so quit trying to be a smart -Yoink-, many of the good ‘veteran’ players are still good, if not better due to the noob friendly environment 343i put before us, players who weren’t the best can still have a valid opinion on liking other halo game styles, eg: lvl 30 halo 3, they could love how it played, still may have a negative KD but loved halo 3 aspects, halo 4 drops all that was, they complain, then you try to call them out for having a negative kd saying their opinion is void. (you have bad logic).
You can always improve your K/D and in-game skills and if you think it is such a bad game then why are you playing it? And it might be a bad argument but it is quite funny to see that most people that are complaining are not very good in-game.

I am not saying that their opinion is void but if they are bad in-game then of course they are going to complain and make excuses… And the game have been out for about two weeks so I believe it is to early to make silly complaints.

I’m playing Team slayer pro all the time. No Armor Abilities, weapon drops aren’t that random. With those settings it’s quite playable due the fact sprint is still in it.

I simply hope 343 stops being so greedy and actually removes limited stuff like the instant respawns,the ordinance system,the loadout system,the sprint,the rotational playlists,the awful ranking system,the awful custom games customization.(I know it’s never going to happen)
Other than that,the only things that are keeping me from selling the game are the specializations.I know they’re not a big deal but I was very interested in them when I was checking out the menus on the release day.

Stopped reading here. Why are you complaining about a game you love? 343 didn’t kill Halo, but kind of saved it, from the not so good gameplay of Reach. I love Halo 4. I ain’t complainin about what I love. You wanted Halo 4, you got it. And it’s awesome.

I think you are missing my point, I respect you oppinion and everyone elses but the point I am trying to make is that MOST people (NOT everyone) that are bad at the game are complaining just because they can not play it as good as for example Halo Reach but as you mentioned, a lot of good players are complaining as well but they usualy offer constructive criticism.
While I can’t say I ever liked Reach I really did enjoy multiplayer a lot, I had the best fun on that one and met all my xbox friends on it
Since playing Halo 4 for almost 2 weeks I have to say I wish I was more grateful for Reach at the time. I like Halo 4 mp, but not the campaign I thought it was horrible, but it really makes Reach seem like a masterpiece, one that I never recognised at the time. Even without the Master Chief, Halo Reach was closer to the heart of Halo than 4 will ever be. Why? Because of Bungie
Before you rant, no I’m not butthurt that Bungie left and now 343 has taken over my “beloved” game. Bungie knew what made Halo what it was, and they knew why the fans loved even if the fans didn’t know themselves. I do believe that 343 has really tried hard to make Halo 4 work, and they have to a certain point, I have to give them credit for trying. But it doesn’t have the “Halo” spirit that Bungie put into the games

I’m pretty good at the game but I’m also pretty sad about Halo 4. I wish Halo had died with Bungie at the fall of Reach, that would have made the game pass into legend instead of what 343 has done with it
