I’m not voting Legendary because I don’t like the BR and how easy it is to use, I think it should be pro instead, or at least offer both the BR and Carbine in Legendary, I like Loadouts and while Infinity is good it has issues like Jetpack, Active Camo, Promethean Vision, Perks and Random Ordnance
I also think the weapons should of been on map instead of ordnance
> I also think the weapons should of been on map instead of ordnance
Except I think the people acclimated to Infinity, who make up the majority of the population right now, find it too burdensome. Halo 5 will have the opportunity to hit the reset button if they choose.
cant agree enough, game makers always think just because they can do something, they have to!! and they dont!!
the best games are the simple ones with exception of bf and cod, but there made to have attachments on the guns and stuff and even then cod 4 is a whole lot better then the newer ones and it has a lot less in it, you can have a much more varied game with simple games, they can be fun and competitive, so they just need to make it as a cross of H3 and H2, halo 2 because it was just a fan fav multiplayer and H3 cos it had such good maps! and the equipment worked, you have to go for it and pick it up not like AA’s and spawn with it, if they can do this then theyll have a winner and itll sell tons!!

Hopefully, I don’t like Ordnance, but as I’ve seen and even suggested myself at points, would Personal Ordnance really be that bad if it was just ammo? If it was only personal ordnance as ammo and no other type of ordnance at all, I don’t think it would be that bad
I like personal ordnance (only for Infinity). Although yes, it does need tweaks. I think it should be restricted to:
Equipment
Powerups
Semi-power weapons (needler, plasma pistol, sticky det, etc.)
Ammo/grenades
Extra perks
What’s wrong with attachments, as long as they’re aesthetic?

Sadly, we’re getting Legendary BRs which, as far as I’m concerned, is the same as Throwdown. It’s a one-gun game, and it’s sad because AR starts actually worked in the original Legendary Slayer

But it would be a really bad reward for just getting points. Who needs ammo, really? I think the better alternative would be having it drop higher tier AAs locked from Custom Loadouts (Jetpack, Active Camo…), grenades (everyone will start with Frags but this would allow Pulse and Plasma to make it in) and maybe purpose-built weapons like the Boltshot and the Plasma Pistol which aren’t quite power weapons but definitely shouldn’t be in Loadouts. So basically, put everything you need to take away from Custom Loadouts into Personnal Ordnance. Either that or just remove PO altogether (which might actually be better).

If it are weapon skins it is fine but with Attachements I ment a red dot sight for example. Weapon Skins are good in Halo but Attachments NOT
Personal Ordnance needs to be Active Camo, Plasma Pistol, Plasma Grenades

I didn’t think AR starts worked particularly well because of the map geometry (very few smallish play spaces) and the hyper extended radar range which meant that the only way to get in AR range against a precision weapon aside from sprint death charge was to camp a corner till they came to you. Shorter radar range and no sprint to allow for classic style forged maps could have helped that issue.
And legendary br’s isn’t throwdown for one hugely important reason: radar. Changes everything.

And again, what’s wrong with attachments as long as they are purely aesthetic?
i also would enjoy if they took sprint out completely.
i really enjoy armor abilities and they can help a lot, so i would like them to keep those in also.

He’s calling them “skins” if they are aesthetic for the sake of clarity. His point is that they shouldn’t be functional but are fine if they do not impact gameplay, exactly what you are hinting at.

i dont think it suits halo, halo is about super soldiers, there hud aims, they dont need scopes or grips etc, camo or skins fair enough but grips, scopes, muzzle breaks etc just dont suit halo, it suits Cod and Bf etc, halo is about spawning with the same weapon, having the same chances and trying to pick up a power weapon like a sniper and then going on from there!! thats why i dont like Loadout, personal ordanance and AA’s, halo is about picking up weapons like BR’s etc and also picking up power ups and power drains and mines etc!!
If we are talking simplicity… I say get rid of weapon skins and loadouts. I didn’t ever feel it was necessary to make loadouts in Halo feel more personal as the gameplay makes weapon selection very situational (ie you’re likely to swap through multiple weapons and equipment per life - so what’s the point).

If I have a pink cheetah print weapon skin it affects your game in no way. Weapon skins are a purely cosmetic choice. Custom loadouts can work if weapons are sidegrades. What I mean by that is no weapon is clearly better than another. However that does not mean all the guns behave the same way. Each has strengths and weakness and its own feel. Take for the example the post WT Boltshot and the Magnum. Both belong to the same class of weapon. Both focus on taking down health and shields as opposed to shields and emp with the Plasma Pistol. The Magnum is liking having a second single shot weapon (single shot weapon BR, LR,DMR,CC), okay at close range, great at medium range, so so at long range, can be a primary ifa skilled player uses it. Boltshot secondary burst mode allows a player to kill a enemy in one shot down sides, charge up time, auto firing after a period of time, ammo hog, must be right over chest to work (from my experience post WT), open to attack while charged up, great at close range, okay at medium range, horrendous at long range. If you remove your blinders you can see that each secondary discussed is a sidegrade. Do I want a weapon that is super good at close range but has major downsides or one that is a all around performer that is like having another precision weapon? Now pre WT Boltshit was super OP as is the Pasma Pistol (at least when it comes to vehicle gameplay) is today.

Ok, no offence OP, but this kind crap makes me think you’re just parroting buzzwords you’ve heard in the forums. Randomness is not the problem with flinch, if anything it needs to be more random. The problem with flinch is that it is niether powerful enough, nor random enough to really make a difference in long range combat. In other halos if you came against a sniper you could save yourself by descoping him, Now you can empty half a clip in him and he’ll just laugh as he feeds you a bullet.
I agree with the other two though.
There is 2 problems with flinch and it being random definitely is one. The other of course is that it is not effective enough on weapons such as the Sniper. Flinch should only knock your aim straight upward by consistent amounts, just like recoil, otherwise it would be impossible to accommodate for removing the possibility of a skill gap. You can get very good at compensating for descope. Descope doesn’t move your reticule it just puts you out of scope. The only reason why it seems that your aim gets thrown is because of the sudden change in look sensitivity. But if you are strafe aiming your aim doesn’t get thrown and if you are quick there is a skill in rescoping.
