Unlike many people here, I could care less about sprint. I enjoy using it, and if it was gone I’d adapt easily, either way it wouldn’t kill me, I just want to play Halo. But, for the sake of argument, I want you to do something, and then let the community see how it would work. Have your in house pros play a match of Halo 5 guardians, but turn of the button for sprint so they can’t use it. Record the match, and then let us watch it. I think this would be good for us because then we actually have evidence to disuse with on terms of the sprint debate. If the pacing is killed with out sprint, we’ll know, if it got better, we’ll know. The idea is, people want it out, so you’ll take it out and show us what it’s like. You guys, and the community can get a little taste of what it might be like, and if it’s good, we can talk about it more then.
or have a single playlist in the final game with sprint, thrusters, clamber, ground, pound, charge and slide disabled, if its population dies but the overall game population doesn’t that will speak for itself, but if the population of the game dies and that playlist is the only one being played that will also speak for itself. worst case scenario both the overall and specific populations for the game and playlist will die which means that NEITHER model worked and the community is full of -Yoink- about what it wants and shouldn’t get a say about anything mechanic wise in halo 6…
*edit: i forgot the best case scenario, my apologies - both that playlist and the game have good populations for a long time proving neither side was wrong and h5 is what the whole community wanted and neither side of the line should get a vote as it just leads to arguments and -Yoink- over a topic no one is right or wrong about

> exactly… this.they got what they asked for. but they don’t like it. maybe if they have such a good idea of what people want they should go out, start a studio with their like minded stuck in the past people and make a game of their own that is a carbon copy of halo 2 or 3’s mechanics with upscale graphics. and if, IF, it knocks the ball out the park on sales and if, IF, it’s population stays around for a year or more, then they have earn’t themselves the right to say they know whats best. but they won’t/can’t. i give up putting forth arguments for and against each mechanic, because which ever side i try defend the other always reverts to either the “change happens adapt or go play the game you want this game to be because it hasn’t gone anywhere” or the “you just aren’t a real fan and must be bad at the game” ignorant -Yoink- that both sides come out with i hall simply tell the people who want halo 3 ver2 to go make halo 3 ver2 and see if it works. and the most amusing part is -Yoink!- would probably help them with their drive to support indie studios…
