ain’t it so telling how horrendous 343 is as a company?
like okay, they followed the cod trend and made halo 4, then we gave them critisism about halo 4. and they promptly did nothing with it and went with the gaming trends and made halo 5. we gave them HEAPS of critisism about halo 5… and what did they do? continue the gaming trends, making no attempt to listen to our feedback, praying on those who’re hecking nastolgic for halo, aad made halo infinite. and also lied to us…
honestly, if 343 doesn’t make infinite more consumer friendly… i’m just gunna be okay with halo dying right here and now
They do listen based on the flights and the many pre-flights discussions on the forums.
What I don’t like is that they like to position themselves in an ignorant manner behind reacting to feedback instead of just telling us the current gaps between the game we get and the game we are used to.
It’s quite alright if the current iteration of infinite is the version we’ll have till date X because the team is exhausted. Just don’t act surprised if players mention they are missing some game modes and their salaries can’t keep up with the shop, you all knew that before putting the game in our hands.

Yeah I don’t know what flights you guys participated in but all the feedback we gave in them regarding the challenge only xp was completely disregarded and left as is. They even chose to release the multiplayer early under the guise of a ‘beta’ and barely changed a thing…
They even conveniently wiped all this original feedback under the rug with the ‘revamp’ of the forums which completely purged all the old posts…
then you are playing the wrong game there, if you want that then play the older Halo games or another title, this is an FTP title and it is not involved other platforms to join. XP is for your performance if you do the challenges, which is not hard at all.
Unlocking stuff just from playing is there, which is the free stuff and doing the events, so again I don’t know what you are crying about.
If someone wants to buy something why SHOULD YOU CARE if what they buy, not everyone wants to put in the time to unlock stuff? So you are telling me if I don’t have the skills to be on the top, I will never get the chance to unlock the cool stuff that I want because I can’t make it to the top, what is worse if they are cheaters in my way to make it there, am I just wasting time getting nowhere and just staying stuck? There is no reason to play the game.
I think this is good what they did, however, they are some issues they will get to and address them.
Reminiscing of a time when Halo 3 only gave you +1xp for wins and 0xp for losses and fun medals for doing well that did nothing except look and feel cool. Such small gains and yet still had 1.1mil peak players.
I miss the days when people played games for fun and skill and not out of some entitled need to grind out progression.

I agree with this statement… The fact that there is no Commendation system or merit system to work towards for unlocks is just silly. Thy can have the storefront for players who want to spend real money, but Infinite absolutely needs a very in-depth Commendation system with tiered unlocks as you progress. The lifespan of Infinite is going to be extremely short without Commendations or some type of progression system that rewards players for their playtime.
Not to mention we want female representation (Body Type) in MP! And they’ve yet to make an announcement about THAT! But I agree with everything said by the OP, we need performance-based XP!
A good example of the progression system that Infinite needs would be the one we currently got on MCC. A progression system with a “bonus” challenge system that both contribute to the battle pass/season! But the challenges are treated as a BONUS! NOT as the SOLE method progression!
