Just because they aren’t doing anything the day after you complain about something doesn’t mean they’re ignoring us.
This bulletin got me pretty excited, a “pro” version of team doubles with pre-set load outs and no ordnanances. Much like what the people on this forum have been asking for.
Mind the fact grifball is out.
File shares are working finally.
I’ll definitely admit those should have been working in the first place anyways…
But they’re even adding a more competitive playlist being “throwdown”.
I’m excited to see what that is personally, I don’t know about you guys…
My point is, I believe 343 is taking steps in the right direction with halo 4 thus far.
Just because I’ll make a valid point doesn’t mean I’m a 343 fanboy. Plenty of faults and mistakes about the game they’ve made.
But they are listening, people have just lost most of their patience when something isn’t they way they expected or wanted it.
I too agree that stuff like Fileshare should have been up in the first place, but the changes they are giving us are in a more timely fashion than even BUNGIE. This TU will be the earliest Halo TU ever (assuming it really does come out next month)
I’m glad to see some things being added though. This game can only go up from here =]
I agree. But then there will be the people complaining about infinity CTF.
And I don’t know about some of you…but I’m excited about the DLC coming up. Especially considering I only need to hit the download button when it releases…I still enjoy the Crimson DLC immensely.
Although I’m a little concerned they’re rushing the release of these if they’re going to be the only three map packs
All thosr things should have been out with the release of the game.
Ill wait for the TU to see if they really are listening.
No good connection option and a topic with around 200 pages on its own not to mention the countless other topics about people complaining. Nothing has been done yet and the population is tiny for a Halo game this early after release.

Exactly. I really want a classic playlist because I do miss the old school way of playing Halo sometimes, but not if they get rid of Infinity =/ I really like the new changes in Infinity slayer. Makes Halo feel refreshing to me…thats why I don’t understand why we can’t have BOTH.
But a lot of the haters just yell “GET RID OF ALL OF INFINITY!!!” -_________-

I have a feeling that infinity doubles will overshadow pro. I wish it was on official doubles done right. I knew they’d make an infinity version. They laughed at the thought of it and it happened. Pro everything should get its own playlist. Also not every competitive gametype needs to have radar off (something I wanted to say in general).

I’m sorry to say that doubles will be ruined by the DMR especially the pro version.

No need to be sorry. I know it lol. These playlist are nice and all, but I can really start playing once TU is in. I just have to wait it out. I hope dmr nerf is in their TU details.

> We are now in 2013. If it takes you 2 months to acknowledge your game is trash after loosing the majority of your population and getting beaten by FIFA and Minecraft, your company has issues.
Just because the DMR is very powerful, doesn’t mean it will ruin Doubles. Personally, I can take on a DMR with LightRifle or BR without much hesitation. I do admit though, the BR should become a 4sk and the DMR should stay a 5sk.

I’m sure people can take on the dmr with whatever else, but you shouldn’t have to say that. That right there means it’s unbalanced. Ex: I can successfully use the Carbine, but doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be buffed. It takes too many shots to kill. So much effort into landing them all, but people hope their shields are at least a little down lol. I’d say make 1 shot less. The br is fine how it is. Dmr and Carbine need some tweaks. I. I over exaggerated about it ruining doubles, but it can really mess up the experience.
they don’t need to get rid of infinity. they really don’t, its okay, its just a different style of play. they need to have both. i think a lot of older fans miss the classic style. even when reach came out it left something wanting, so to be honest, bungie dropped the ball first. and 343 did really well with this game. the biggest complaints are about additions that began in reach and then they expanded upon.
I am excited for some classic and pro playlists. thats really awesome. and the new dlc, because i like smaller maps. i think 343 is listening a lot cuz this is they’re first halo title and they have big shoes to fill. i am impressed with the company response and all indications that they’re listening. they want it to be a successful title and they want us to enjoy that. even though i’ve done some hating on the boards, i love you guys at 343 for what you’ve done. i just played the campaign again today with a friend that hadn’t seen it yet and we had a blast. he said it looked amazing, i agree.
so, give credit where credit is due. 343 has done a good job and i think with the TU people are either going to be happy or complain regardless of what they do. you can’t please em all but i think 343 is trying to please most of us. i’m sure they’re bending over backwards and after all the hating we gotta appreciate what they have done.
thanks 343, keep up the good work and ignore all them haters! unless they have good ideas…
Yeah, they messed up. But they’re doing what they can do this it regardless. Debate closed.
Oh and, clearly you have no idea how awesome minecraft is to be complaining that its being played more.
It allows unimaginable creativity with relatively small bounds. That’s what people want these days. Freedom, which as far as custom games are concerned is lacking.
My only point is that yes, 343 messed up on a bunch of things. But they are working to improve.
There’s no denying it.
It goes back to the mere issue of patience.

So then there’s nothing really to debate. Everyone knows that they have to play the waiting game, so the point really isn’t needed. Also, 343 have no choice to improve and fix the mistakes, so I don’t understand why people say they are fixing something as if developers usually don’t try. My point is that this is all common sense. I guess some people aren’t happy unless they are aren’t complaining, which is a natural thing to do. Things usually get done by criticizing. Not staying quiet.
Obligatory “soccer is the most popular sport in the world” and “Minecraft is super awesome” statement. Especially since they made updates to get it more like the PC version…so sweet.
Anyway, I was enjoying the game as is up until this point…Grifball gave it a huge boost of awesome too. Doubles is going to be sweet, especially with new forge maps we haven’t seen yet.
Oh, and as far as the maps being “rushed” goes…Certain Affinity is handling all of the maps in the map pack. It’s all they do all day, every day.
If 343 was trying to juggle the maps in addition to testing code for the TU, playlists, forge map prelim test stuff, CSR, Waypoint File Share, SpOps and whatever else…then I would definitely agree with you. But since an entirely separate group of people are working on them, with those as their only focus…I’m thinking it will be okay.
Bs Angel is really good about answering questions in the bulletin discussion threads, so they are definitely listening. Team Snipers is coming back in Feb and she confirmed that Action Sack is in the list of hoppers they want to add, but no specific date is set yet.
The launch was a little rocky, what with the Holidays so soon and all, but things can only get better.
I agree…it’s a lot to handle I’m sure, as well as planning your next game.
I look forward to the new bulletins every week because I know there’s gunna be good news in it
Hopefully they realize that while its good for some playlists, some need to stay permanently. Like grifball and team doubles.
My friend won’t play halo 4 because it doesn’t have team doubles yet. Which gets me frustrated lol…because that’s all he ever plays.
I don’t think the main populace is like that, but still.
I’ve known since release date that 343 have been listening given some of the exotic changes made in Halo 4, stuff that you wouldn’t have expected:
-Elites lack a turning melee. That’s great, now they’re harder to assassinate
-Elites no longer board tanks. While this is a downgrade, it’s better this way because not only is one helpless when boarded but shooting the wall is more likely to blow your tank up then get the boarder off
-checkpoints can be delayed by meleeing repeatedly like in Halo 2
-Magnum is the closest to CE since forever
-Spartan Ops making unique AI encounters (sleeping Grunts, Scattershot wielding Elite, Crawlers + Elites, Crawlers + Hunters). I’ve had most of these on my wishlist for a long time. Glad to see it finally happen, Episode 7 signifies redemption
I just tend to get frustrated with some things and denounce the game.
