You know what I mean, they just want money, and don’t care about the customers, only act like it. What do you think?
Destiny and COD r terrible!!!

yo man, bungie went to -Yoink- with Activision, cod went (more than it already was) -Yoink- with Activision. guess who 343i got to publish their game?
Activisionmoral of the story is, when Activision publishes games. they go to -Yoink-. the game dev’s want the game to be good, the game dev’s like catering to the community, weve seen this before with many other companies. Activision is making them add the microtransactions, making them add all these money making tools. a lot of the money doesnt even go to the company. it goes to Activision. 343i cant even do anything about it. having a well known publisher drop you is one of the worst things that can happen to them
EDIT: i was mistaken.
I do not agree man, i think they listen to the community way more that Bungie did with Halo 3

Microsoft has always been Halo’s publisher. 343 has never had a game published by Activision.

343i gets their games published by Microsoft… which might as well be Activision, but they are not Activision.
Have you even seen Infinite Warfare’s trailer? COD is trying to be more like Halo, not the other way around.
It’s not that they want to be like COD the problem in the gaming industry is the amount of money they started generating. Once gaming started generating so much big CEOs and CFOs who care nothing about quality got involved and are only interested in making money so they want to see just how little they can give and make the most money. We are seeing it across all games. Star wars battle front launched with only online no campaign to speak off… hitman is launching with only a mission or two, campaigns for all games getting shorter and stuff to be added later for some sort of cost. It’s lame.

I DONE GOOFED
I think the game play is a lot like the CoD games. And I hate those games.

Prepare to be shamed infinitely.
It is a problem in generell
Developer: That is whta was good all the time we keep that
CEO: These are popular games take some of these so that more people can play it. (ceo want money)
Dev: but this will chnage what it is.
CEO but math says more people will play it, make it so or you are fired.
Maybe i thourght of activision
of course they try to improf and take what is good somewhere else, it is need to stay alive as a game, but take to much and you will lose you core comunity.
You really think this game plays like CoD? Man, you need to play some more CoD.
To be fair its not like cod is that bad of a game if it was it wouldn’t be that popular, also…
Do you make one of these threads every week? Feeling like you do
i know 343 stop trying to be like COD. How you going to get 2mill dislikes when half your audience has left?
no but really it’s not. They are shady sometimes but I feel like they do care about Halo. That’s just my opinion.

I think the primary purpose of a corporation is to generate profit (money). if the data shows that doing one thing or another thing generates more profit, then that’s what they’ll do.
“Caring about the customer” comes into play as generating profit. At my work (I work as a cake decorator at a grocery store) our bosses put a huge emphasis on customer service (at least, that’s what they tell us when they’re giving us speeches). The thinking is that if we provide ‘superior’ customer service, the customer will return to the store and spend more money. For example, if a customer orders a cake, and let’s say it’s white cake with a custard and strawberry filling covered in german chocolate icing, and complains about the cake being “a bad cake” we’re supposed to give them the cake at a significant discount (or even for free). It doesn’t matter that they’re the ones who had me make them a disgusting cake. What matters is keeping them happy. If they’re happy, they’ll come back and spend more money later. And if customers are returning and spending money over and over again, that generates more profit. So that’s what they have us do… because that’s what will generate more profit.
So, yes, the company does care about the customer. But probably not for the customer’s sake, but more likely for profit’s sake.

This. It’s the 90/10 rule for businesses in general. 90% of your profit comes from 10% of your customers. Or is it 80/20? Either way the idea is get people to come back. Yes they want to make money, even Ramen isn’t free; but they make money by getting return customers to make the majority revenue. What this game represents are the growing pains of a shifting business model within the gaming industry, where companies are trying to figure out how to compete with each other for your $$$ as often as possible without alienating us entirely. This stems from silly mobile phone games using micro transactions (-Yoink- you, candy crush), and the gaming industry realized how much revenue that raked in with such little effort. What they failed to realize is that there is no such thing as AAA mobile game (until Fallout Shelter), and did not make changes accordingly. now they are trying to find that sweet spot where they can make small amounts of revenue more often without turning it into a paywall. 343 nailed that, where you do not have to pay one damn dollar to get anything functional in the game. Do you have to grind for a lot of it? Yes, that part sucks but it still progress as the grind in Halo 5 is not nearly what it could have been if they stuck with the traditional model. Id it perfect? -Yoink- no, but it is a lot better than it could have been under Activision.
lol they dont care about customers… A near perfect replication of reach character armor was given to us. If you ever bought the packs with real money, thats you giving into the pressure. And what does CoD have to do with what you are talking about.

On a roll with the jokes today! Keep them coming man! Too bad the last one got locked. (/s on the lock thing.)
Actually, with the death of CoD, everyone will try to be like Battlefield.
Play Halo 4 and then Play Halo 5 and then tell me which game is more like CoD.
343i did a damn good job of righting the ship after Halo 4. Halo 5 is closer to Halo 3 than both Reach and 4.
