Summary
1, they can simply stop acting like a snake. I’ll still be suspicious for a while because of their reputation, but if they don’t act like a snake then I won’t call them one.
2, Loot boxes were at most $3. Still parasitic and gambly, but not near as bad as charging $15 for a camo pattern.
3, I see you lack basic comprehension and critical thinking, as you’ve completely missed my point. Typical waypointer.

Yes, I don’t know what they’re logic was to removing game performance XP. Even earning commendations for weapons playing game types would have been nice of it was here now.

Comparing 343 to Bungie isn’t really a fair argument. 343 has the backing of a multi-BILLION dollar corporation, while Bungie got dumped by their publisher 2 years ago. Although Bungie has been on a downhill trend ever since Destiny 2 launched, 343 had literal YEARS to learn from the community’s feedback in the Master Chief Collection. Instead, it seems like they just ditched everything they learned and went the Battle Pass + microtransaction route to milk even more money out of players for really mediocre armor. Destiny 2 at least has some decent looking armor and shaders that aren’t entirely locked behind a paywall.

Yes, although some will still pay that price. I admit that I already paid for 1 bundle and the standard season pass so my opinion may not be valid anyways. I justified my purchase by having a free to play game that would have ordinarily cost $60-$70 and really liked the bundle. Having GamePass for campaign also helped my decision.
I think a good start to early customization would be allowing armor coatings and visors to be used on all armor cores.

They made a change that’s only net positive and you assumed the worst of intentions. I think they could totally revamp progression and you’d still be skulking around the forums calling them snakes

HOLD UP. You had to pay hundreds and hundreds of dollars to get enough lootboxes for the skin you wanted in tons of games. You’re sitting here with a straight face and telling me that having a flat upfront cost for cosmetic items is WORSE than exploiting gambling addiction? Holy crap.

No that’s what exactly what it sounds like at least they’re trying guys poppy 343 is doing their best is what I took away. Also you want to compare bungee taking a year to give us an infection playlist that we made back in Halo 2 as a community. They also gave us grift ball playlist. Hey bud you know did give us Halo to begin with and kind of set the standard with customization and 343 has done nothing but s*** on it and selling us the color blue for $8… I cannot tell you any memorable maps or game modes from Halo 4 or 5. Let alone campaigns you really want to talk about Halo 5 campaign?? I didn’t think so. Hell the banished wasn’t even 343’s idea it was the Halo wars 2 developers who came up with that little gem. So I’ll ask again what has 343 really done to prove themselves to us. Give us call of duty load outs in 4??? Come on there’s not like there’s not any blueprints of how to do a battle pass or XP system. You have Halo 5 XP system wasn’t that terrible play 10 games you open a gold pack. You had Halo reaches XP system. You’re not going to sit there and tell me they could have done that and at least given us some free armor so we’d all don’t look at the same constantly and paying $8 for blue. I mean if you really want to compare bungee to 343 we can go at it. Bungie Halo Halo 2 Halo 3 Halo reach. Vs Halo 4 decent campaign terrible multiplayer. Halo 5 terrible companion decent multiplayer. To finally Halo infinite looking like to be the best campaign ever made and great multiplayer. Because of the blueprint left over from Halo 2 and Halo 3 not to mention reach armor customization. Now imagine if they stuck to the principal Court gameplay and we could have had Halo infinite in Halo 4 and it built off that.

Oh yeah? 50 x 100 = 1000?
Also, each day it takes 6 matches to gain a level with the new daily rewards.

I believe complaints of progression are linked to the lack of early customization available. If players had more options, they wouldn’t feel the necessity to grind the season pass for items just to change their Spartan. But then again with this being a free to play game, they need to make money somehow. I’m not sure what the proper compromise would be.

I’ve been vocal in my complains about the battle pass, challenge system, being able to buy levels instead of having to earn content, the free event pass progression, free event rewards, the shop and its prices, and probably other things I’ve forgotten about.
The difference is that when I see them doing something good, I say that it’s good. When I see them doing something bad, I say it’s bad. You just like to whine.
