Yes = Spartan IV
No = ODST
You’re always able to wear ODST helmets and armor in multiplayer so ODST Spartan IV’s?
And that “ODST” looks too buff to be a ODST.
They look too heavily armored to be ODSTs. They are also as tall as the Chief (although it may not look like it since they are further away from him in the screenshot). I believe they are Spartan IVs with ODST-like armor. The helmets look more like a mix of ODST and Mk V(B) helmets more than an upgraded ODST helmet.
Personally I think they are S-IVs. They are way taller than the soldier to the right of the Chief, they are wearing full battleplate armor as opposed to material fatigues or body suits and although the helmet looks ODST it also has elements on the Chiefs Mk VI in there as well as Noble Six’ Mk V helmet as well. I guess right now we are all speculating, I can see them being S-IV or ODST just as easily as each other. My bet still leans towards them being S-IVs. The Infinity plays a major role in Halo 4, Infinity serves as the base of the Spartan-IV project which ties into multiplayer and Spartan Ops, hence it does make sense for npc S-IVs to appear in Campaign.
