While we are getting ranks (out of game) on monday, COD is having a 1 million dollar tournament as we speak. Over 50 thousand people are watching and it is just starting. Think of all that advertising! Thats not even the finals!
343 needs to realize they will never do COD better then COD does COD. Stick to your roots. Just like COD does. Most importantly, PROMOTE ESPORTS! Its free advertising and it shows people you support your game. Everyone wins.
It just baffles me how incompetent this developer is. Are they that blind they cannot see how much money esports brings in???

Do we really need another COD vs. Halo thread? Don’t we have enough? It never gets anywhere.

Which is quite ironic as most of the complant threads ive seen basically want HALO to be the same game just re skinned over and over again.
So i find it funny it is cool to bash on CoD for staying the same while they cry about Halo changing.
I mean people are asking for Halo 2 remade (Anniversary) or to have Halo 5 be just like Halo 2 or 3 just with prettier graphics.
Funny really.
CoD is fun(and so popular) because of consistency. How many big games out these change everything between releases? Especially for competitive games, they stay more or less the same between games.
CoD changes enough to make the games different(at least the Treyarch ones), while keeping the core formula that everyone loves.
I’d argue that Halo 4’s population would be even lower if 343 didn’t add the new stuff. Playing Halo 2 or Halo 3 is extemely slow, stale and boring to me now.

Thats the same amount of people playing Halo 4. People say that 50k is nothing. They say halo is “Dead” because it has 50,000 people online. Yet Call of Duty videos get 50,000 and now all of a sudden 50,000 is a TON of people… I don’t get it.

There hasn’t been anywhere near 50k in months. Halo is dead because there are only so many players in that game. 50k watching pro players in a niche setting is a lot.

Agreed 50 K people are QUITE A LOT there are many games that would kill to have that ammount of players.
