343 is on the wrong path 🤦🏻‍♂️

Im gonna spit some facts here, not just my opinion…

343 just don’t pay attention to details, also they dont know how to handle this game,
You like it or not, heres the truth, slipspace engine is pure trash, graphics look like an xbox 360 graphics with odd physics, dull and poor environment, almost not existent nor dense ambient occlusion, poor dynamic light, textures are all they improve so they LIE to all the customers in their faces telling them graphics have been improved but is not real. Textures are just a little tiny part of graphics in overall, it looks cartoonish and poor, like toystory, idk who da -Yoink!- says this graphics are amazing it seems they blind af, any other game in this era has better visuals and graphics in overall than this .i’d prefer they used unreal engine 5 instead of this crappy slipsht engine, graphics simply dont match 2022 era, theyre way behing and i hope 343 read this

How is it possible they just had 6 years to develop this game and is still lacking of BASIC STPID features halo 2,3 reach and other halo games had??? Like
-ping meter for each player in the scoreboard
-report option while in match
-mute option while in match and not like HI has rn, that is pure absolute trashy and complicated
-no lobbies (if you say is to avoid toxicity youre wrong buddy)
-RANKING system is the worst in the while franchise, lacking of common sense, if you lose a lot of matches in SOCIAL matches then the rank system matches you with worse players, that proves all of us rank system is awful and doesnt make any sense, whenever you play rankd and dont applay what i just said before, you just get matched with players on a skill way above you and trashy teammates , thats why you will lose 8 out of 10 matches and keep trying hard till bleed, this only happens if youre diamond and above, if youre below this it wont happen.
-lacking of modes that already exist,
-lacking of content
-poor armor customization
-menus UI is awful
-graphics are cartoony and plastic, they just dont match 2022 era, whoever says im wrong, it seems youre a fanboy
-de-sync, and nope, youre wrong if you think they fixed it yesterday.
They just did an stupid update where they believe matchinfg everyone with the closest server will solve the problem and thats not true, 343 is close to face an awful time, i called it.
-AI is trash, just because they focused so much on bots difficulty doesnt mean AI is the greatest one🥱, characters in the campaign lack of common sense.

-no new maps

-store is the worst thing ive ever seen, it seems they need some lessons of their father activision, at least they know how to handle a good store.

And the list is almost infinite.

Unless if you’re playing on PC with every graphics setting set to the lowest value, this just isn’t true. The Slipspace Engine isn’t what 343 said it would be (the whole ‘we’re rebuilding the Halo engine from the ground up’ claim turned out to be a complete lie), but it still looks great. Y’all complained about how polished and clean Halo 5 looked, so 343 added plenty of grime to the Spartan armor and multiplayer maps. Apparently, that wasn’t enough. But then again, nothing is ever enough for this community.

Meh, this is a corporate game and the community is just lashing out because of this. You can tell where the passion was, but there’s no secret where and when the corporate greedy executives got their filthy hands on it.

Most of this just comes down to the game being released in an incomplete state, sadly, this just seems to be the way of game development as time goes on. More and more games come out unfinished and only reach towards completion through updates months or even years down the road.

Infinite being a 10 year game, to me feels like we’ll finally be at a true 1.0 state of completion in 10 years time.

Its the sad truth of large gaming companies nowadays. Blizzard is in a similar boat.

These companies will have amazing IP and solid foundations from existing games to work with, but now that they have shareholders, all the incentives change to making sure they make enough money off their product.

The irony is, if they just focused on making a great game, they’d have way more people playing and actually make more money.

343 can really smell my :peach:.
Stopped playing. Won’t come back.

What kind of mutant XBOX 360 were you using that could run Infinite???

The future is getting dark and 343 is letting us stew in our frustrations again. If only I had something to help me navigate this darkness and give some slimmer of hope, something like a ‘map’ for this ‘road’ we’re traveling on.

I’m sure this post is gonna be full of facts.

Has it been a while since you played a 360 game?

You know, Unreal 5 isn’t a magic wand that makes things look good.

This is actually the most vapid talking point. You have no idea how game development works (and it shows).

Yup, these things should probably be implemented. Kinda dumb that they weren’t.

Yeah lobbies generally suck. I don’t miss them.

Maybe. I certainly don’t like it. Not really a fact though, this is the definition of “just your opinion” and not a fact.

Just because something exists in a previous title doesn’t mean that it can be copy/pasted for the next game. There’s still significant development work you’ve gotta do to implement the feature.

Opinions, opinions everywhere.

I take it you didn’t read the update, yeah?

Maybe it’s because I didn’t play Halo 5, but I was under the impression that all the maps were new.

Did you mean Microsoft? Anyway, the store isn’t the worst thing I’ve ever seen (I visit the Halo Infinite forums, afterall). But they could’ve at least done something like Sea of Thieves (another MS game).

Most of the community says otherwise, so you’re kinda outnumbered

It is, you can play 15 matches and barely go up in rank but lose 1 and plummet

Yeah, it isn’t a simple copy/paste, but I’m pretty sure they could’ve had more than 10 modes at launch.

UI is awful, that is not an opinion.
You compare them to good UIs and if they are worse, then that UI is bad.
Customization is also horrible, it has the bones to be the best Halo customization but they got money hungry

It is a cash grab.
FOMO, overpriced (still), 90% of cosmetics locked behind a paywall

That is to over 9000% correct. I have to agree that the high resolution textures and intense coloures are good, but these “strengths” are abused to make a false impression of high quality graphics.

Most of the players just look at the textures and rate the quality of a game only with it. But that is especially in an (Semi-) Open World completely wrong. Crysis 3, BF4, Killzone, Skyrim, Shadows of War or Metro Exodus do not have those High Quality Textures, but everything else is top notch there; thats why their graphics are way more immersive and superior to Halo Infinites graphics.

Even in the campaign you can see (if you pay some attention), that only those textures are high quality where you directly look at most of the time. If you look at some random places just for interest, everything looks really bland. Especially the hexagons are a poor excuse to make low quality backgrounds if you look into the distance.

Regarding the lighting: I wonder, why no one has ever mentioned the shadows. They look completely wrong (regarding their positioning) and they often reload and change their form while moving.

In Mass Effect 1, the walls of the hallways in the citadel reflected the light so well, that they looked like a dynamic blurred mirror. The same hallways in Halo Infinite (Forerunner Structures in blue) reflect the light in the same static way: as if there would never be anything on the opposite side of the wall (although you directly stand in front of it).

That are just some flaws, but even those are enough to be a big disappointment for a AAA-Flagship game that is known for high quality graphics. And again, we have the year 2022, the X-Box Series X is the most powerful console ever and the excuse with “downgrading” all graphics for XBone is just pathetic.

Sorry, that’s just how I quote when someone makes a bunch of points I disagree with. It’s much cleaner to address the points individually instead of a big blocky response to an entire post. Lots of people on the forum do it.

But, since I’m not gonna change how I quote, you can click on my profile and set me to Ignore and my posts will never appear on your screen. Super handy if you find them disruptive.

I am not some coward that has to ignore someone like a sensitive baby, I just want you to controk yourself and stop spamming large messages for no reason. You are just trying to smugly inflate your ego falsely and act like you are smart when you are obviously not.

I’m not gonna stop quoting the way I quote. The forum messages literally encourage you to make multiple quotes if you’re addressing more than one person (I’ve received a pop up message about it), so I’m just doing what everyone else does.

Sorry, bud. I’m gonna keep inflating my already massive ego with my super-smart hyper-wrinkly brain.

barely. you remember the amount of grime and dirt that was in Halo Reach? a lot. over the spartans and maps, you could SEE IT
in infinite, maybe it’s either the piss poor graphics the the absurdly bright lighting, but 9/10 times, unless i pay real attention, i can’t see any grime in infinite. 343 really ain’t about dim lights and dul colors apparently, ever since CE:A

Wait wait, why don’t you like lobbies? I find it annoying cause if you play with someone you vibe with you can’t really ‘ease’ into talking to them, you either gotta shoot a friend request instantly or never see em again.
Then there’s the competitive trash talk side of things which I also like to banter in, which can be another motivation factor to play the game, least for me. I think lobbies create more of a sense of community whilst the lack of them creates these matches where you have no relation with people, they’re all randoms, so people get mad and fly off the handle a lot more than they would if there was 8 player communication in the lobbies.
