So far I’ve seen A LOT of threads and comments from people who think that 343i is not listening to those us. This is incorrect.
Bug-fixes are in the works, and a Title Update will likely be released as soon as 343i is sure that they fixed as many as they could. If they came out with one now you all would complain because they didn’t fix everything, but if they wait until they do fix everything like they are currently doing, you all complain.
The latest Bulletin/matchmaking update prove that 343i are in fact listening to us, as they addressed a few concerns from fans. The glitched spots were all fixed, which is a huge relief to Flood and oddball players, and Ragnarok and Haven now have less weight and appear less often.
To me, it sounds like a lot of people are purposely overlooking this instead of being grateful that they are fixing anything at all. A number of newer PC games that I used to play are now unplayable because the development companies refused to release patches to fix bugs that forced you to wipe your computer clean in order to play again, among other things.
What people don’t realize is that 343i can’t simply blink twice, spin in a circle, clap their hands and have everything fixed. Bug fixes take time, development takes time, testing takes time. I understand that a lot of people are getting impatient and upset due to the lack of response from 343i in regards to many topics, but that is their choice.
As you mentioned, they are listening, and are currently focusing on eliminating the real “game-changers” (such as wall-glitches, overuse of maps etc…) before focusing on all the nit-picky things.
Everyone just needs to give them time…and have some faith.

Apologist’s post is apologising.
It is obvious to anyone with half a brain that the dev would at the very least be trying to remedy the many negative issues the players are experiencing, but what is unacceptable is their complete failure up to now to address the players here in straight terms - to engage with the community in meaningful ways in an effort to alleviate the tension on their own game’s official message board. That would be the common sense approach.
But this isn’t Bungie, or Valve we’re dealing with. It’s 343i. There’s a clear distinction.

Are you sure you arnt confusing “fan” with ragers? also the game is coded in the way of the weapons being randomly dropped, you cant make a radical change in the games code like that without a few month! they would have to go in, change the loadout system then change the maps place weapons, set respawn points, when, how and were they respawn and rid of the drop system.
Also the playlist are still being updated as we speak you say fans are demanding it yet the fans are also calling the entire game -Yoink- because it is CE or Halo 3 again!

you mean the company that this is there first game, and the did the entire game as a fan game for the fans who have from day one tron it in there face and called it a cheep copy of the other games?
Yeah. They didn’t really address anyone’s concerns in that tweet. In fact that dudes job seems to be more to do with SpOps than custom games, file sharing and MM playlists. And as for it being a “work in progress” many of the things people are complaining about should have been there at release. Perhaps they shouldn’t have rushed the development in order to get the game out a week before their main competitor.

I’m a programmer and a game developer, and I can assure you that they can change the loadout system and these fairly easily, shouldn’t even take longer than a day. I just think they have more important things to do right now, like last update with the map fixes. I’m also pretty sure they’re working on custom games / forge a lot because they more or less broke those.
i think alot of people are upset about the lack of communication with the community, not that things aren’t being done, just letting people know that you are aware of a problem and actively working on it every now and again goes a long way
You can bet there is a room full of people at 343i with a projector displaying threads such as these, while they all sit around drinking a brew reading our rants, discussing what to fix, when and how to do it.
They are listening, it’s just that they don’t like what they are hearing (plus they would get raged at if they indulged us in these threads lol).
Nevertheless, good things take time, and while they were essentially under Microsoft and Bungies wing with Reach, and to a lesser degree, Halo 4, they will continue to take time.
Take Bethesda, or other major studios for example, they still release buggy games that could have used more testing or spent more time in development, and they have been in ‘the game’ for far longer than 343.
Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of things I would like them to change or fix, and a BETA would have been a good place to test those things…
All I’m saying is give them a chance, even if it is only for a couple of months, until the christmas noobs have been and gone. A couple of updates and tweaks here and there, a new map pack etc, and if they haven’t sorted it out by then, we can only hope they learn from there mistakes for Halo 5 and 6…
Good post OP. Things take time to test and also Microsoft take ages to test patches themselves too. The BF3 patch was with MS for over a month with nothing DICE could do.

Exactly, that’s often just the way it is. I think people just expect 343 to pull updates out of thin air and change things overnight. I wish they could but lets not hold our breath…
> Tell that to the 8 month old, 276 page Elite thread that hasn’t even gotten a response from 343i.
>
> They are listening, just… not as much as people would like.
They are listening, but they have decided that Elites won’t be playable in Halo 4 and they aren’t changing it. They don’t know what will happen in the future, so even if they did respond all they could really say is that they are listening, which goes without saying really.
Just because 343i decide to do something that some people dislike, or even a lot of people dislike, doesn’t mean that they aren’t listening.
You know what i dont like is the fact that they act like everything is fine. And is pretty clear as to why they dont add team double’s, swat, snipers, FFA at the same time. they dont want people to leave Infinity Slayer. and mark my words they will only releaser a normal TS playlist after 4 months.its funny how in the first bulletin after the game came out they were saying YE INFINITY SLAYER IS DOING GREAT TOLD YOU SO!! no -Yoink- its the only slayer playlist… and slayer has always been the top in halo games
I understand that it’s only worth having ‘X’ amount of playlists in order to keep them all populated, but we have a small amount to begin with, and then you remove TEAM SNIPERS after one week? It’s definitely one of the most popular playlists, in terms of something different. THEN you remove it for FFA THROWBACK, a game which many have already played when you accidently put it on, and what was the feedback? Negative.
Perhaps you should keep Snipers, and then add Throwback, see what needs to be done.
Also, when are they going to listen about the Forge options? TimeGlitch has a thread with almost 500 (last I checked) Thanks and a ton of replies backing it. We need options in that.
