343 is incredible at a stunning story

Unpredictability is fundamental in any immersive storyline. 343 has proven this over the past few weeks with the bombardment of information we got. I for one would never have even considered the possibility that Master Chief’s portrayal would be forged into a callous murderer after all the lives he saved. The fact that some ‘sin’ chief has done has entirely obliterated all the honour he possesses shocked me.

What ever he did, all we know, is its not good.

And 343 did a pretty well done job of surprising us.

343i are great at telling stories with depth and substance in game as proven with Halo 4. Guardians seems to be even bigger and better, which is incredible. Thanks 343i and keep on rolling:)

Don’t forget, 343 are also simultaneously saying “Don’t believe the official story”.

~ Duck.

You’re jumping the gun if you don’t question everything you’ve heard in “Hunt The Truth” so far!

Wait, what?! Chief’s a traitor, since when?

Indeed it’s real surprise.
I mean after Halo 4 I’ve never thought about the Chief become a traitor.
343i surprised us all, and I think it’s a good things, but please don’t kill the Chief and put Locke (this horrible character, with no charism) as the new hero of Halo games

Great at telling stories, but bad at portraying epic battles, etc. , a big part of the halo series prior to Halo 4. Halo 4 has too much of a love story to be honest and I hope Halo 5 is not similar in that regard.

An enhanced story on a personal level does not make it a love story.

Halo 4 still told that big, epic adventure. But it managed to tell a great story on a smaller scale too. And that should absolutely be done again.

I didn’t see that coming…

I agree with this. Halo 4 is the stepping stone for Halo 5: Guardians and the beginning of Master Chief’s evolution as a character. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Your poll is extremely bias.

I’m not sure Chief is confirmed for having done anything bad. I’m taking it as he simply decided the good path was something different from what the UNSC, and more specifically ONI, thought and with his newfound focus on his own humanity he made the decision to leave the UNSC to forge his own path, prompting ONI to send Locke after him and for them to start a smear campaign on him. They can’t allow Chief, the biggest hero of the UNSC, to be seen as, at least in a sane capacity, leaving the UNSC.

Halo 4 and Spartan Ops pretty much set the stage for chief’s goals and ambitions to begin to clash with the goals and ambitions of ONI. It was pretty obvious from the beginning cutscene of Halo 4 that it was gonna head in this direction.

Chief didn’t do anything bad and if he did it was for the greater good and he knows something ONI & the UNSC don’t. He’s his own character now and not a UNSC yes-man. My guess is that he’s working towards actualizing whatever goal the forerunners intend for him and ONI doesn’t want that to happen for whatever reason.

You have NOT been keeping up, have you?
