343 is dramatically dropping the ball

To me it’s not that hard to revive this. Add ranked duos and slayer now. Remake a few halo 2 and 3 maps now so we have some maps to work with until you have time to release new infinite maps in season 2. That would bring enough content for me to come back and play every night again. I haven’t played since Christmas and that’s weird for me as a die hard halo fan at onyx 1700. It’s just stale now.

Oh yea no they are gonna do the bare minimum just to keep the train on the tracks even if the tracks are rusted out…

Having a Seperate progression system outside the battlepass, Cross core customization, individual purchases of bundles items, being able to mute an individual players while in the round.

These are basic features like day one common sense stuff.

When I noticed these were missing In already knew that the game was just a shell display that functions enough to release. But planned on simply loading it up as time goes on with features that were intended to be day one and they just hoped no one will notice or franchise fandom would hold out.

OP has Exactly my thoughts. And It also makes me kind of sad. It was so awesome back in the day. This one let me down hard:(

Edit: Also, here’s a noodle-scatcher. So this game was designed so it could run on an original Xbone which by itself was HUGE mistake and I’m sure hampered developed. So why then do we need such high specs on pc to run it properly?
Zero effort into optimization. How did they keep a straight face when they were hyping this game?

These are not basic features.

Basic features would be shots that register consistently, none to very little desync, the ability to decline playing on a 200+ ping server.

Oh yeah, and selecting things in the menu and having them work consistently (looking at you BTB).

Now yes, I know artists don’t work on netcode, UI designers don’t work on netcode etc etc but we shouldn’t fund studio’s that are putting out fundamentally broken games.

When your child misbehaves, do you take them out shopping for treats?

Then don’t reward failure by continuing to fund it. Its the only way we as consumers stop getting fleeced by ALL these AAA messes, not just Infinite.

Every time we all roll over and take it, we are sending a message saying this is OK. Its not.

A comeback is possible but it’s gonna be a hell of climb to do it but it is possible

Joe Staten just came back just to hold everything together with a duct tape.
Now it seams everything is falling apart.

These are basic features when doing a live service game that’s F2P… What you mentioned is also basic features… So perhaps what we are evorh saying are basic features none of which made it into the end game… Like if you design a Open world game and fail to put Fast travel in it… Or waypoint marking on day one (Anthem) than you failed to put basic stuff in the game…

Probably duct tape from Harbor Freight. Or outsourced the Duct tape lol

I mean you can blame 343i as much as you want to, but it isn’t going to change anything because even if tons of them were fired (which is the implied solution right?) it’ll just end up being the same exact result.

Again, 343i have been underperforming/underdelivering for a decade now… At what point do you stop blaming individual developers and start to blame the parent company?

Microsoft are the ones that hire the developers, they are the ones that ensure accountability (if any at all from what I gather) they are the ones that sign off on direction. I just think this is about as useful as arguing about an employee about prices… The buck ends with Microsoft.

Your reply reminds me of how Luke Smith destroyed Destiny tuning it into a wannabe WoW/Fortnite.

Which one?
The one about the fish stinks from the head?
What does that have to do with Destiny? We’re talking Halo here in case you forgot

i cannot stop laughing at the topic title “343 is drastically dropping the ball” because in reality they are actually being those people in oddball who cant even figure out how to pick it up to have it to drop.

All the more reason to keep pushing.

as well as clarifying “hey, once all the major things like forge are put in, could you at least consider adding more options.”

I’m glad you said it. The aiming is just awful.

So now we have to endure rightwing cop killer loving insurrectionist propaganda here?
Seriously?

Where are the mods when you need them?

The only good thing about He-who-shall-not-be-named being around is that he will trip over himself to go after those guys
