I love halo, its been the franchise i grew up with and i will never fully give up on it, but cmon.
Every update the games condition gets worse, they were hyping this btb update to be the be-all-end-all of the btb issues but it did almost nothing besides not getting me stuck in a menu.
Its laughable that this is the “live service” we will ge receiving for this game, is the engine that bad? Are 343 incompetent? They were able to push updates for halo 5 perfectly fine and this is literally just a modified halo 5 engine.
If they take over a month to fix btb then what is the status of forge? Are we getting it this year? Will there be a delay? This roadmap better clear a lot up for the community.
Every single community update gets the community angry, downplaying the issues with the game and ignoring lots of community feedback.
No word on friendly collision, no word on spartan body types being awful, no word on vehicle combat, no word on scope glare being terrible, no word on sniper fire delay, no word on the memory leak, no word on pc crashing and xbox crashing, no word on btb fix breaking other gamemodes.
The list goes on for far too long.
This feels like bare effort from 343, events are poorly planned and boring, content from april to may is nonexistent, is this really the future of halo? Not to mention lack luster changes to the store, bundles still try to mislead content by showing the same coating 17 times when you are buying 3 skins (should be universal the whole fact they arnt is to make extra profit off reselling) it feels like all 343 wants from players is money at the expense of halos namesake and reputation.
Really hoping this game can turn around, but theres so many problems and thats not even taking into account that the engine is so broken it makes updating the game a challenge, do you guys believe it can make a comeback or do they need a hard restart?
Thats the problem though, its free to play, if this game actually does die it wont just magically drum up dev support like mcc did, it will be dead. Development will halt entirely, and then what?? No more halo games?? The entire f2p approach literally put a gun to the games head and we are forced to pull the trigger when it becomes to much for most players.
Game already bled 90% of players on steam, and while its number one on xbox that can change very fast now that btb is still broken
I’m confused, I thought the whole point of “Live Service” was that your game should be worse two months after its launch? What did 343 do wrong here? They nailed that perfectly.
I mean… they dropped their store pricing because they’re so player-focused and generous, and all those things work perfectly; I don’t know what the problem is.

Either you pay $20+ and get both purple bundles or spend 15$ to get one of them, such a price reduction, not to mention they are still overpriced, 3 skins and a stance and a visor should not be 15$ it should be 7$ or 5$
Honestly I’m kinda looking forward to LEAP. It’s a buy to play (whoa!) multiplayer FPS that has an ingame credit system where you (gasp) get credits for playing and can purchase stuff to customize your character!

I mean… they threw the ball away 10 years ago. It’s off sitting in a landfill somewhere rotting away. I don’t think they even know what the ball looks like anymore, let alone where to find it or how to pick it up and hold it.
Yeah, I hadn’t known about the PC/PS exclusivity so it may not be the best alternative for most halo players, but for PC atleast there might be a different thing to check out in the mean time whilst 343 gets halo back on track~~
