supposed work on content updates have been in the works over the holidays. Since we haven’t seen an update since 12/22 it’s apparent that this is a lie. I understand if people needed time off, but don’t lie about it and say you’re working on something when your not. This game is so great and 343 is doing what ever they can to poop on it. So sad.
You’re behind on the hate train bro.

That seems to be borderlining a bit on a conspiracy theory.
Nonetheless, I don’t care if they had holidays off. Considering how most of that studio is heavily at work, I would probably take a holiday too, despite the game’s condition. (Which has been inconsistently reported as working or not working)
Also, “Doing whatever they can to poop on it.”? I wasn’t aware that working on a ODST port (which was asked for) and a Relic remake (Also asked for, in terms of people wanting more maps) was qualified as that.
I digress, though. Give 343 some credit for what they’ve gotten right.
It seems that they’ve stopped talking to us all together.
I can’t even play a co-op game of Halo 2 Anniversary with a friend. Our game keeps getting disconnected.
On the up side it doesn’t seem to be disconnecting our party anymore, so at least we don’t have to go to our cell phones when the game crashes.
I think they should get time off at Christmas like everybody else but they really should have made some kind of announcement.

Unfortunately, they haven’t gotten much right.
Still can’t play co-op with a friend in Halo 2. Not sure why?
Multiplayer match making is still hit and miss, and they still don’t have complete playlists.
It’s been two months and there is still a laundry list of issues with the campaigns and multiplayer.
Really too bad, was looking forward to enjoying the MCC over the holiday and instead it just left me aggravated.
I’m fine with getting ODST, nothing wrong with that but I really just want what I’ve already paid for to work properly and after two months it still doesn’t!
I just wish they would’ve announced what the new achievements are going to be… They’re getting lazy with this, as Bungie and 343i have historically always released 1) How many achievements are coming and 2) The new achievements’ titles and descriptions. Just telling us two days prior to new achievements going live that they’ll be multiplayer and Spartan ops achievements soon is lazy and an afterthought in my opinion but perhaps I’m just spoiled.
Yes, let’s add content to a game before it actually works. You’re right.

I’m with you on this one, I would like to know what the achievements are before they come out, or even just a spoiler to get me a little excited.
I don’t think 343 is lying to us on purpose, it seems more like they just don’t know how to communicate with us properly and end up saying dumb things that make people mad.
I hope the reason it is taking so long is because 343 is taking its time on a REAL patch. Once this game is fixed up I’m going to be chasing Shoot2kill to 100% all Waypoint achievements! (Just MCC left).
Personally, I think 343i has no idea how to fix the game. Each portion of the MCC was outsourced to other companies for them to develop it, and then 343i kinda mashed it onto a disc.
Now with all the issues the game has, the 343 developers are looking at the other companies’ code and probably have no freaking clue what’s wrong with it. As a computer programmer, and I’m sure other programmers agree with me here, it is much easier to code a working program out the first time around, rather than write code full of bugs and try to find and fix them all.
The 343 devs are probably going insane with the debugging process on it. Not to mention that Halo: CE, Halo 2, and Halo 3 were all coded by Bungie in the first place, so 343 probably has no freaking clue what to do.
That is why its taking so long to fix this game. It is also why they aren’t communicating with us, the community, because 343i literally doesn’t know how to fix it.
Like I said, if it was done right the first time by people who know what they’re doing instead of outsourcing it to no-name companies, the MCC would have had a much better launch.
343 done goofed on this one.

why is everyone suddenly a computer programmer on this forum now?
343i is tied to a ball and chain and a gag that is called Microsoft, Microsoft made MCC the test for they’re new multiplayer functions and it failed miserably. What better way to test your new fun baby than by forcing your flagship exclusive to run it and forcing it out of the door before it’s ready.
The crap flows downward, if your going to hate on anyone, hate on Microsoft for forcing 343i’s hand in destroying their bundle of joy. How would you feel, if you worked hours to bring back the best multiplayer experience that you, and all of your fans have experienced, something that you brought to life 10 years ago, only to be told you have to use a new non-tested multiplayer backend because it’s what your boss wants, and then, after everything worked in internal testing, you have to switch everything around last minute and have minimal tests because not only do you have to implement this new system, you didn’t even get an extension on your deadline. Then it comes, release day, everything worked as far as you knew internally. You sit back smiling, then moments later, your year or so worth of work self-immolates all thanks to your boss’s great idea.
Even worse, you start getting death threats and hate mail from the fanbase you love.
If your going to be pissed off at anyone, direct your anger to the proper level in the chain of command.
> I don’t understand why 343 has gotten so many haters. They have (technically) only made 1 Halo game. A lot of people say that they’re mad at 343 because they did a “horrible job on Halo 4”; personally, I don’t agree. I think that Halo 4 was (and still is) and enjoyable game to play. Halo 4 was 343’s FIRST TRY at attempting to create a Halo game and it is underrated by many gamers. Also, why can’t people accept change? Bungie was busy so they gave Halo to 343 and Halo NEEDS TO EVOLVE! Every FPS on the market is fast paced and complex. I have a question for all of you who think that Halo is becoming more like COD: Does Call of Duty own those game traits? (Aiming Down Sights & Sprinting)?? I’m pretty sure that they don’t. Halo needs to evolve so that it can compete with other games (not saying that Halo can’t compete already, we already know it is one of the biggest FPS franchises in history). If other FPS have things that work, why can’t Halo have the same? If everyone complains like babies then 343 will listen and they already have been listening to us. You might want something changed and 343 might change it, but sorry, you aren’t the ones making Halo. I think that we should be happy with what amazing games they (Bungie & 343 Industries) have given us.

Probably because this forum is full of kids who took a computer class with a one week unit on programming in BASIC or some stupid crap, made a 10 line program, and then call themselves “programmers” hahaha.
