343 is an absolute embarassment

I call out 343 on their mistakes, I get bashed. I praise them, I get bashed.

So basic issues that any company would have done because it is literally there job. You call that justification for the huge mess this game is actually in?

Damn, I got beach front property in Mojave desert I’d love to sell you.

There’s a fine line between criticism and complaining. You crossed it.

Mostly because both sides or the argument are extreme and have huge followings. So by offending one you offend the other. Honestly I’m Neutral until things come up and then I’m back to Neutral.

At least Bungie listens to their audience. They roll back changes, get fixes out quickly to the game, add content that fans have wanted and take criticism to heart. Bungie also has weekly updates and has actual roadmaps for future content.
Also, Destiny actually works.

This is true. Just this week they had 2 hotfixes and an emergency maintenance. They seem to get things handled as soon as they possibly can, but they also listen to feedback and purposely leave fan loved bugs and exploits that don’t really hurt the game, like Sparrow surfing and flying. Their anticheat is also pretty good, and they unbanned a bunch of users that they decided didn’t truly break any rules.

Meanwhile 343 takes months or potentially up to maybe even a year+ to fix basic issues, and their game bans people left and right for no valid reasons, usually game instability, while hackers run rampant with no bans coming anytime soon.

Bungie’s biggest issue in Destiny is probably always Telesto

343’s biggest issue in Infinite is… well… basically everything

Like I’m genuinely not trying to rip on 343 and kick a dead horse, but if we could get a detailed ā€œPros vs Consā€ on 343 and Infinite, I guarantee the Pros are practically hidden in the shade of the absolutely towering list of Cons

Have fun in Fornite lol

They are actually doing a really good job. If I were then I’d ignore every single person that comes on here and Reddit and posts rude crap opinions.

I’m guessing they are more interested in branching the franchise out to other types of media, since they can’t develop games.

Honestly, I’m mostly stunned that the game has been out for going on three months now and there’s no roadmap.

Like, what live service game launches without a roadmap outlining what to expect in way of events and content? Especially one with six years of planning and dev time.

The gameplay is fun when desync and lack of player collision doesn’t wreck everything, and we’ve got some gametypes added as well as some okay events (after the first week of Fractures), but the live services aspect of this is all feeling a bit threadbare.

Halo3 already had Heroic Map pack within 2-3 months after launch I think 343 is in serious financial trouble because they have made tons of money off the microtransactions but still no new content they need to just be blunt about how much money they need to make in order to bring us the content we want

you’re joking right? 343 is doing a terrible job of managing Halo compared to Bungie

Yet, somehow, Halo Infinite hit 20 million players. But yes, your opinion is right to you and the other 200 haters on the planet.

Bungie Halo’s - $ cost attached, limited to one platform
Infinite - Free to download, available cross platform and streamable.

Totally comparable products.

Just ignore them. They clearly have no self respect and are fanatically defending 343 for everything.

I do not even believe the 20 million player mark record for a second.

It could be true, the game is ftp, but it’s an utterly meaningless statistic/data. What about average regional pops. what about average number of games/player. how many revisits. what about shop revenue. what about…

So many more interesting data points. It’s kinda insightful that that’s the one they’ve trotted out. Basically blowing smoke up the -Yoink!- of MS investors.

Just because you can’t fix things doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try first off, and if you’re paying someone to do something, you pay them to do it right, this is why it came out free, nothing like a good ol’ It’s free what did you expect excuse. They’re making money off a broken game, I bet as annoyed as we feel, they’re sitting pretty well up there chilling with they’re money trying to fix a broken game for more money. They’re job doesn’t depend on if they can make a game, it depends on how long it takes them to fix it. Such simple issues like btb or properly fixing a Armor effect doesn’t take until the next season!

Yea, but the heroic map pack was so rushed and so poorly received that it was made free a few months after that.

I’m all for new content, but rushing content is how we got in this predicament in the first place.

You’ll find no argument with me on ANY of this…

ask yourself these questions:
-why did BTB seem to work better in the beta?

-why if I create another account can I log right into BTB?

-Why does my main account appear to be ā€œlocked outā€ of joining BTB?

-Why did 343 seem to not care that BTB was broke going into the holiday?

-is BTB broken or is it ā€œbrokenā€?

Just think of the amount of people that want a job at 343, does anyone really think they just sent people home for the holiday? A failed playlist at launch on a Christmas release wasn’t functioning and nobody goes into RED :rotating_light: ALERT? -seems strange to me…

Good thing I’m not the boss, people would’ve been packing their things.
