First of I love halo it’s one of my favourite franchise. I’ve been playing for as long as I could get my small hand around that duke controller! But these past couple of years I’ve been watching halo crumble to nothing but a unorganised mess! And it makes me sad. For example broken games and taking MONTHS ON MONTHS! to fix (MCC), Halo turned into COD clone at one point (halo 4) and now halo 5. Yeah it’s a fun game but not a good halo game, it has little content on launch and still to this doesn’t have a lot compared to other halo titles. And then you have the decency to trick what’s left of the halo community and give these game modes other halo had as “free DLC”. I wasn’t fooled I saw these as 343 way of saying oh we’ve messed up good we’ll damage control by using the words “free DLC” even though it was half bake content not ready for launch. Now the thing I hate what halo has become the most another micro transactions filled cliche FPS, the req system is the worst unlock system in the history of halo! It’s all random it felt like a chore getting what I want. You have to grind through like 5 tiers of mongooses that do nothing but have a different paint job LAME! And POINTLESS! It’s just holding you back from good things like whiplash certification or the sniper rifle certification etc it was a way to keep you playing by grinding out halo 5 for Req points to try get what you want if you get what I mean? And the ugly armour sets YUCK! Previous halo armour was badass (eg halo reach) 230+ ugly armours and only 5% I wanted but I had to keep grinding because it RAMDOM I hated it and when I was getting verities of the ugly armours and the only difference was one had star on it and one had a square on it just made me wounder “why” what’s the point…this is just LAZY 343. And the micro transactions don’t belong in halo they are not welcome and is just an evil way Microsoft and 343 are making more money. And yes they are pay to win compared to someone who just sits and pays for a gold pack take 30 seconds and can buy multiple packs and some who grinds for an hour of arena for one gold pack and that’s unfair for the player who doesn’t spend the money, and now has less certifications then the person who did spent money. Now something that is hurting halo…unpolished and buggy halos from 343… Retrieving data, profile sync error, unable to find match, laggy UI, no music at the start of matches, choppy cutscene, AI glitches, reqs not spawning, clambering up and down on the spot, insanely annoying AI bosses and broken theatre, the list goes on the lack of play testing by 343 is appalling. This is hurting halo and I hope halo 6 doesn’t have the same fate. And I’m not going to cover the story we all know it sucks and brain reed can’t write a good story to save planet earth, and 343 don’t mess up halo 6 story or I’m done with all halos tied to 343i.
This some of the thing wrong with halo 5 and this is just how I feel you may disagree that’s fine. I don’t hate halo 5 it’s just really really disappointing and I hate how we were all lied to and we got a half finished game on launch.
so my question is 343 what are you doing? What bungie built up and left for you was fine why did have to fix something that’s not broken, the fans have spoken and we see no actions #makehalogreatagain
343 you got yourselves in this hole you can get yourselves out of it
also find the actman on YouTube or latenightgaming if you agree on some of my opinions they explain issues in depth.

I’ll take this post more seriously when you split it up. That block of text hurts my eyes.
I’m pretty sure I already know what you’re talking about - ‘343i has completely destroyed a franchise, here is why…’.

Oh man! sorry this is my first post thanks for the tips
No it’s about how 343 are driving it to a “destroyed franchise” I believe it’s not destroyed halo is still a strong franchise
You want to know what 343 Incompetencies has done?
They have -Yoinked!- up Halo beyond recognition.

Agreed halo had its identity and own image now its generic and it’s not halo
343 has destroyed it…but they can change that by listening to the fans they are the ones who know what they want

Nah, everyone has to start somewhere on forums. Just take a moment and look at your post before posting and see how daunting it would be to try and read that entire paragraph. Having a break in it creates a sense of relief, allowing the reader to keep their place and more clearly make out what you’re saying. It also allows you (the writer) to create paragraphs devoted to each topic you’re covering.
But I guess this is all personal preference on my end, I’m a bit of a stickler. Anyway, before I go too much further off topic with my posts, I’ll just leave you with this - Welcome to the forums.
Back to on topic : I think 343i is trying a lot of new innovative things with the franchise. Some things they’ve brought have been bad, and some things have been good.
I know there are a lot of people on the forums that would like things to return to the Halo 3 playstyle, which may make them happy, but with the simplicity of it, it may turn off new players. It may also wear off after a while, if they did return to the classic playstyle, fans may begin to leave because no innovation is being made.
I know that H5 is not as popular as previous titles, but that’s also because there are so many more options now (how I see it). Big blockbuster games seem to come out week after week, which makes people want to move on to new games quickly. Also sales should be taken into account, Games with Gold, and the weekly/monthly specials make it hard to pass up a game.
H5 is not a perfect game, it never has been, and it never will be. I think 343i really needs to take into account what the fans say and try to find balance between new players and old. It’s a difficult task, but that’s the best suggestion I’ve got. All we can do as fans is sit and wait for H6 to come out and see how it is.

Thanks
i agree the thing is 343 are really pushy on these massive innovations and it’s breaking the balance between new and old players… I don’t mind Spartan abilitys but Spartan charge and smartlink need to go halo worked fine with HUD scope I’ve never said halo needs ADS well playing older halo titles and Spartan charge is very noobish and cheesy Imo
hopefully 343 do listen to the fan base and make halo 6 the best halo ever good story, polished experience, and multiplayer with an classic playlist it will change everyone’s opinion on 343 capability to make good halo but atm most people aren’t seeing this
