I just want to congratulate 343 on what a fantastic job they have done basically…
I have been playing halo since it first ever come out and i am in the fan group of the “old school halo” which basically was halo 1, 2 and 3. Halo 4 was to me complete utter -Yoink- and i literally have erased that gameplay out of my memory because it was so bad. I had my doubts when i saw halo 5 coming out because of the reputation 343 had for making halo 4 so terrible but I’m going to say it now as a true halo fan who spent hours and hours playing halo 2 and 3 on a competitive level WELL -Yoinking!- DONE.
This game is pure awesome! i mean the gameplay is fantastic, i feel good again when i get killing sprees etc, it feels great when you beat someone 1v1 and when you turn around and kill someone else to get that pure bliss voice of “double kill” it just makes you feel like your playing the real halo again.
Their’s too much hate on this forum and i can’t understand why to be honest… the game is awesome. Coming from a original halo fan as well, where the gameplay which I’m a fan of is halo 3, you have hit the nail on the head again and you have brought back what halo use to be… you have honestly done a fantastic job.

the original halo music !! - yes!! the oooooooooooohhhhhohhhhhh hahaha , that is halo ! when i loaded up the game for the first time last night and that was the menu music i had a slight smile on my face to think you may have changed my mind here on my expectations…

the gameplay- its great, i love the maps i love the 1v1’s like it use to be !! no more stupid loadouts of your choice and no stupid add ons like holograms etc like in halo 4 , like what the hell was that about !!!
-the sounds- the guns all sound fantastic and they are all the right amount of strength in damage !
- matchmaking - really fast , get into a game in no time , (unlike the launch of h2a) disaster ! but still a good game !
THINGS I THINK YOU SHOULD ADD AND IMPROVE

more maps the game needs more maps to be honest, there isn’t enough at the moment…

more players in each game - 6v6 would be good, i have only had the game 2 days so i have not checked everything out i may be wrong but seems like there is only 4v4 which i think should be expanded

need more game modes , where is team snipers ??? where is oddball ??? where is infection?? or team BR??? need to bring these in seriously guys , this is what makes halo !! its a big thing needed!! PLEASE GET IT IN THERE !!

Thanks for a positive post dude. I also played from the beginning and hate it when those “Halo Purists” or “True Halo Fans” give 343i crap. I’m enjoying this game so much.

I agree with your whole post OP. Halo 5 is a fantastic experience for me, and I’ve played since the launch of CE.

Agree with the need for more gamemodes; Far too few at the moment.
yeah would just be nice if there was more game modes , not enough at the moment by far…
Except the aiming is broken and there are a pathetic number of custom game options…at least Halo 4 had Infection.
I agree with you, but at times I despise the game and want to tear my controller in half with my bare hands. I love playing the game for the most part, and have gotten frustrated at games in the past (more so CoD than Halo), but sometimes I’ve never raged so hard at any other game than this. There’s no happy medium for me in this game, I’m either absolutely pounding the other team, or being pounded myself.
Those “add-ons” debuted in Reach, which was the worst Halo imo. But thanks for the positive post. It’s refreshing from all of the other whiners and -Yoink–talkers on these forums.

I am also enjoying this game, MarcSmith91. People will always find something to complain about. It’s good to listen to their concerns, but we should not take each other too seriously. You either enjoy the game or you don’t. There is no need to try to convince someone your side is right.
We do realize that this game received the worst rating of any Halo (Besides ODST which was developed as DLC at first and only shifted to a full game near release)?
That is why there is so many people upset on the forums.
I’m enjoying this game too, much more than Halo 4. Hopefully a few extra modes and maps will be added soon to keep players hooked. Unfortunately it just seems to be the way of modern gaming that too many have to attract attention by tearing into a game and hating based on (some) negligible factors.

Are we playing the same “Halo?” I get where people are coming from, with additions like ADS and faster movement. However, Halo 5 does a wonderful job balancing the Halo 2 and Halo 3 feel in my opinion.
Wow dude, I’m glad you actually like the game very much. Trust me when I say that I wanted to really shout the awesomeness of Halo 5 to everyone and also to say the same things you are saying to 343, but unfortunately, I can’t really congratulate them, not yet. And, I’m sorry MarcSmith91, but the game is not as amazing as you and other people are saying. Trust me, I love Halo 5, I like everything you mentioned that you liked, but I have to say this because if I don’t do it, no one else will. Watch this video so you can understand (Halo 5: Guardians Angry Review - YouTube) why I have to do this. It’s pure truth about Halo 5 in the video. I won’t list what Halo 5 needs in this forum topic, but I will leave the video link so you can see what’s missing. I really hate to break it to you dude and I seriously wanted to be as amazed as you, but not when the game needs some serious fixes and updates to actually be an 8/10 great game and the true killer app of the Xbox One.
I want you to know that I do this not because I hate the game or want to troll you or 343, but because I like Halo 5, I like gaming in general, and I criticize several areas of this game because I want it to improve and remove those negatives and to actually be the best Halo game to at least everyone in this generation and to encourage people to get the game and play it safely with me and everyone else without me or everyone else regretting on buying the game due to its negatives that are holding back the game from being amazing to everyone. I want Halo 5 to improve and also for Halo 6 avoid this issues in the future, that’s what I want.
