343 Industries, I have read posts for almost two years past about fixing/creating a patch for your so called matchmaking system. It’s been clear that it has been unbalanced and you claim to fix it on ranking. I have a screen shot if you ever chose to listen to your community proving your crooked broken system. I have been watching a keeping an eye out for the team players tanks and levels in every match made game. In a recent slayer game I had the ranking and level of spartans/players as fallows.
Blue team:
Player 1 - Lvl 119 (Rank Diamond 1)
Player 2 - Lvl 146 (Rank Platinum 6)
Player 3 - Lvl 149 (Rank Gold 5)
Player 4 - Lvl 143 (Rank Platinum 2)
Red team:
Player 1 (me) - Lvl 43 (Rank Platinum 1)
Player 2 - Lvl 77 (Rank Gold 4)
Player 3 - Lvl 12 (Rank Gold 4)
Player 4 - Lvl 4 (unranked)
343… How lazy will you remain before you actually move around to creating a patch? You base teams in a system of ranks, when not even the ranks match up while the level of each player is way off.
If you wanted to release an unfinished game and create a community where you hide and do nothing, then congrats on at least paying a team to do just that when you resolve nothing or care to take in feedback dating two years about this issue.
You only lost the game by 5 kills which doesn’t seem unbalanced to me. Granted, you had an unranked player, but it was a new account and the game is still assessing where that person’s skill is at.
I think you’re also confused with the ranked matching system. It doesn’t match you based off of your SR level and it doesn’t match you based on your visible rank alone although it will typically be within one or two divisions of your visible rank. The game uses CSR to match people which is your skill rating as well as other things like location, playlist population and possibly w/l streaks for example.
It’s also against the rules to name people so you should probably remove the names if you don’t want to get in trouble.
Regardless of who won, based on the ranks that not too far off. Youre not going to be match with player of the same tier every time.

Thanks for the extra info, I took out the names for rules and guidline purposes. Also I do feel that player level should play a big part since it shows length of play/knowledge but understand that even if they create a new account and join unranked they will still have the same skill. Thought it is just irritating how long a patch takes. Reading in comments at 2 years and counting. In any case, I understand that learning to find and have a team to stick with is key but sometimes finding those team mates and sticking to a schedule is difficult and most times just jumping into matchmaking blind with random players should be more settled in.
I agree with the OP. H5 ranking is trash and worst in the series. I don’t care whether or not SR level is taken into account. It still reflects overall experience and chances are a player with high SR is better than one with a significantly lower SR. And matching unranked players against ranked players should not happen ever!!! 343 needs to stop modeling Halo after every other game that it’s imitating (COD, Battlefield, Titanfall, LOL) and just use the perfectly functional template built by Bungie. After all, Halo should play like Halo, not it’s competition!!!
If you’re looking to provide constructive feedback to 343 on the matchmaking and ranking systems, begining with calling them “a crooked lazy bunch” isn’t going to get you very far.
