While I like the cosmetics this season for sure, this is how many seasons that were almost, if not entirely focused on it? Almost everything the other games got were all things that were either cut from the original, initially cut from MCC (which we had to regrind in many cases), brought over from/ inspired by Custom Edition, or things exclusive to Firefight or campaign. I’m sorry, but Halo 3 got old really fast after the so called “hit registration/ projectile speed fix” somehow translated to about a dozen scorpion shots doing no damage at guaranteed kill ranges to impact (direct hits and shots landing within punching distance of the target).Halo 1, 3, and 4 have all gotten weapon skins, but most, if not all of 4’s was cut from OG or MCC initially.
H1 and 3 have gotten vehicle skins and visors. Probably a few of which were from Custom Edition, which you talked about bringing content in from before season one.
ODST got updated Firefight and imported weapons/ vehicles, soon getting imported enemies.
H3, Reach, and 4 got imports from Firefight, Spartan Ops, and/ or campaign to Forge.
H4 got armor effects and cosmetics that were supposed to be available from the start of MCC.
H3 got new armor, even for elites, and imported armor from Halo Online.
H3 got new and imported maps from Halo Online.
Once again, H3 gets almost everything. When Reach finally gets something new, it’s just helmets. And H2A, one of the main selling points of MCC, never got anything until today, and that’s just one armor set that imo, looks like trash. It’s depressing really. Contrary to what you seem to believe, not everyone enjoys/ wants to play H3. I’d rather play Halo 5 Warzone when I’m the only player on my team and getting farmed by griefing enemies who clearly have no intention to play the objective nor do they have anything better to do. I’m done with MCC after this. Until you either give Reach or H2A half the love you’ve given H3, I’m not even going to look at the game, especially if Infinite lives up to the hype unlike MCC until years after launch and the mess that is H5.
You’re gunna stop playing MCC if they don’t add some cosmetics to your favourite game? That’s all it takes?
Because Halo 3 is not just the most well rounded/balanced, but has the highest population of players. It’s pretty widely agreed that Halo 3 is the best game on here, balance wise. It’s… sort of a no brainer.
Lol. Both Reach and H2A are getting stuff for the 20th anniversary. Halo 3 gets a lot because it’s easy to develop for and by far the most popular game in the collection.
I wish that more things were ported across games. It seems like an easy fix that would add a lot of cool variety. I would love the Halo 4 armors in H2A and visa versa. I’d also love for most of the “classic” map remakes from 3, Reach and 4 ported over to H2A. Those seem like relatively easy things to do that would really boost the overall experience in H2A.
Just imagine if Icebox, Avalanche (or ideally: Diamondback), Heretic, Cold Storage, Breakneck, Reflection, Ridgeline, Solitary, High Noon, Penance, Battle Canyon, Pitfall and Ragnarok were all ported over. I know that someone will probably do this with mod tools once they are released, but that does nothing for matchmaking and console players. These maps already exist and just need to be moved over. I also realize that not all of these are Halo 2 maps, but I do not think that that really matters. All of these maps were made for “classic” Halo and would work well in any of the “classic” games.

Halo 3’s balance in a nutshell is just “BR beats everything”

You’re annoying and stupid. Halo 2 classic is far better than Halo 3 in multiplayer.

Imma let you finish, but Macworld 1999 chief trash?
Sorry, that’s incorrect.
H3 is probably the easiest game to add cosmetics too get ahold of yourself.
H3 is popular with OG fans, resulting in getting more customization options and hence new fans will play only h3.
Today with the new H2A armor, i find myself getting more H2A matches.
This is how new players select a game, if it has something new, they will play that cos on their mindset it’s more about getting the new stuff as soon as possible.
So keep it coming with something that’s not halo 3 (visors for reach and uncolored techsuit for h4 would be nice)
Are we still arguing about why the game with the most population and easiest to add content into and had a whole other game made with it’s engine is getting the most content? It should be incredibly self explanatory.

Sorry but I disagree, it’s not called the Halo 3 Collection, I didn’t buy MCC just for Halo 3, focusing on one game & while other games get scraps & 1 game gets 0 love is just flat out stupid, just because Halo 3 is the popular game it doesn’t mean you cater to 1 game out of the other 5 in here

Actually MCC was made to preserve the legacy games onto the new generation of consoles. The fact that 7 years later were still getting new content all for free is amazing. Stop being so spoiled
Halo 3 is the most popular, most played game in the MCC. They want to satisfy the most people they can so they add stuff to the game that most people play. Simple as that.
But CE, Reach, 4 and now 2A with the new update have had cool stuff added- not less cool than the additions to Halo 3, just less raw quantity of stuff. 2A is also planned to get more stuff so just chill a bit, it’s not that deep dude.
You know who you can blame for Halo Reach and halo 3’s popularity? The community; blame them for being hard-stuck to a game that has snail-like movement and bad gun-play. This is coming from a guy that discovered this wonderful franchise through Halo: CE, by the way. My time in Halo 3 on the Xbox 360 was nowhere near bliss due to the fact that I was extremely bad at it. I get me being bad was most-likely the case, but, here’s the thing, why not add a hit-marker system like Halo 4 does as a mechanic optional in the social playlist but have it disabled in the ranked playlist; it would help so many people get better at Halo 3, and 2 as well. Halo 2 is dog due to the fact that the gun-play feels worse than Halo 2’s, yet the servers are just as bad. Halo: CE holds a special place in my heart as having my favorite player vs. player system mechanics indefinitely. Halo 4, on the other hand, yes, I like it’s multiplayer, deal with it. Halo Reach, the multiplayer if usually iffy for me so I have nothing really to say about it, most of the time anyways.
This topic has been kicking around since season 5. The answers have been given multiple times in this thread alone.
Halo 3 has one of the biggest, if not the biggest, player populations in the collection. It is the best selling game in the franchise. It has a lot of content from Halo online ready to go with minimal effort to adapt it and it seems to be the easiest game for which to develop new content.
If you don’t personally like Halo 3 or would like more content in other games, that is perfectly reasonable. Asking for the content and encouraging others to play the games may well entice 343 to develop new content for them. Show there is demand.
You not liking Halo 3 does not change the reality of the situation. Insulting others because they happen to enjoy something that does not personally appeal to you will not get you very far.
Is the point of this thread to start another Halo 3 smear campaign?
Most of what was added to Halo 3 originally came from the cancelled Halo Online, which ran on the Halo 3 engine, thus making it easy to port over. I guarantee, if Online had run on the Reach engine or the 4 engine all the armour and maps would have been added to those games.

7 years and yet Halo 2 Classic runs worse than it did launch, but hey free cosmetics for H3 that we had to fix that caused crashes, I’m not spoiled, I’m fed up with Halo 2 being left in its state

Did you not read the patch notes for Season 8 and all the improvements that brought it closer to the OG xbox version. Halo 2 now is definitely better than it was on launch(MCC)

Sure completely ignore the still inconsistent H2 Vista Hit Reg, it sure is better than ever
