I’m not sure if 343 actually read these forums, I sure don’t see any of them outside of the forum moderators reply to anyone.
but if by some miracle one of the 343 developers read this;
please consider enabling cross-core customisation.
I can’t grasp why this isn’t an option.
It’s not for lore, since the academy trainer and multiplayer bots are all wearing cross-core stuff, so that can’t be it.
It’s not technical reasons, again, since the bots are all wearing cross-core stuff.
It’s not for money reason, since not only does being able to use everything you buy incentivise people purchasing stuff from the store, but it will without any doubt increase the sales of cosmetics.
So what gives? I am asking as a fan.
I buy things right now, if it’s something I want and I feel like the price is okay I’ll buy it, regardless of whether it’s three items for $5 or three items for $15, that’s just me.
I can’t however help but be disappointed by the fact that I keep having to switch between my cores to use the stuff I buy. I don’t want to do that. End of story.
I have seen people on this forum state that they don’t buy anything because it’s for a core they don’t want to use, and I’ve also seen people state that they won’t buy anything until they can mix and match core stuff.
So there are obvious and very public reasons for why you should make cross-core a thing.
Now, I understand that it is somewhat of a technical issue as while it is possible from both a technical and design standpoint, it isn’t as simple as just enabling it. It’s extra code that needs to be written, it needs to be implemented into the existing code, it needs to be tested and optimized and all that stuff.
but it can be done with relative ease, so that is why I ask you to do this, for the fans sake.
