How dumb do you think we are? There have been thousands of sprint polls in the halo community since reach and none have ever been that lopsided in favour of sprint.
Were to believe a poll made up of hardcore halo fans resulted in 89% being in favour of sprint in halo?
You could have atleast made it a believable number lol.
I agree, that poll CLEARLY was centered on a focus group. I don’t understand why they didn’t just have an open poll on the forums, it would have been LEAGUES more accurate than a poll entirely centered on just the HCSS group.

And yes, 11 percent is a ridiculous value that is hilariously obviously incomplete.
A focused survey in a new and not-exactly-widely available feedback program means 11% is 343i are liars.
They were just citing a statistic they had. A lot more went into their changes, and sprint is kind of a major part of Halo 5. They can’t just take it out. Even so, 11% and other feedback outlets prompted them to adjust it already and even allow it and the other abilities to be toggled off. That’s pretty substantial considering their vision for the game, and some good compromising and listening to feedback. Especially for a team of alleged liars and idiots, as this post and many others somehow allude to.

I don’t think 89% wanted Sprint. I don’t think 343i would ask people a yes or no question. I think that many people would’ve been in the middle, favoring a tweak to Sprint.

They have it toggled to custom games, and they may only have like one multiplayer playlist with no spartan abilities. Sprint doesn’t just harm the general flow of the game, but it affects maps HEAVILY to the point that tiny arena maps, like Truth, get stretched to outrageous proportions, and they dwarf your character, and leave way too much inconsistent cover.
Nerfing it doesn’t make up for the damage that’s done.

Halo 4 has not.
I don’t think that, if you ask all people that played Halo for a few years, there would be just 11% anti-sprint-people. But the base movement speed will be increased and the sprint speed decreased. You want more? It was obvious that sprint won’t be removed. I’m happy with the changes. They want to change a lot of things that I didn’t like.
They’ll improve:
flinch bug, higher base movement speed, nerfed autos, lots of options for custom games, deactivating kill cam
What they didn’t mention:
low TTK, big maps because of sprint, custom control schemes, high bullet magnetism, 4 player splitscreen, grenades(nukes)

Who’s to say they didn’t take those into account? Plus if you add up the “likes” of the OP’s it’s still a pretty low number (if you want to take into account people agreeing with such posts.)

Its pretty damn simple they want sprint in their take on halo. They tried to nerve it in a way that would piss off less ppl. Obviously not every one was gonna be happy, but sprint is in the game. If that’s as much of a deal breaker than don’t buy the game and why are you even here? The only way I would want them to announce they removed sprint is if that came with a 2016 release date and another beta. Remove sprint now and ship out some rushed shrunk maps that no one other than them and " selected handful of ppl" get a chance to play?
