To wit;
- You get 4 new Daily Challenges every day in Gears 5; you get one free re-roll per day. Every reroll after than costs 100 Iron, and increases in cost if you do more than two per day
- You get 2 All-Modes Challenges (doesn’t matter where you get them) each day
- You get 1 Horde/Escape-specific challenge per day
- You get 1 Versus-Only Challenge per day (Bot Matches count for these)
- Each Season comes with a set of long-term Challenges that give big progression boosts and have special bonuses if you complete an entire page of them
- Challenges are typically mode-agnostic, and the Mode-specific ones typically encourage you to play the game properly (EX: Control Challenges ask you to Break/Capture the Hill)
- Challenges rarely, if ever, ask you to play a in weird/counter-productive way. Often they encourage you to play properly and work together. Some exceptions apply (Execution Challenges for instance).
- Some Event Challenges do ask you to do weird stuff like Infinite’s do, but that is for the mode-specific playlist, where everyone there is trying to do weird stuff anyways so no one is impacted.
This is significantly better than Infinite’s system, and it still makes plenty of money off of store and Pro League items.
