First, please don’t post person info on the forums, okay?
Second, welcome to Waypoint and good luck with the Army! Unfortunately, they aren’t going to give you the game early so looks like it’ll be a great incentive to kick some soldier butt in basic!

WOWZA!
Snickerdoodle was lightening fast on that one! lol
Warmachine, Welcome to the US Army, if training is anything like it was 3 years ago, around Christmas time you’ll get block leave, which you might be able to go home for a week or two. But don’t quote me on that, I wasn’t in basic when christmas rolled around, I was in AIT.
What part of the Army are you? Active? Reserves? Guard?
And where are you going for AIT?
> You wouldn’t want the game early anyway. It would be buggy as heck.
Wrong, it’s only buggy before it goes Gold, once a game goes gold, it’s more or less finished, being copied onto discs, packed into cases, then into boxes, then onto pallets to be shipped to the retailers. So even if you get a copy a week early, it’ll be as buggy as when it’s normally released.
Hmmm, yeah, don’t quote me on what I said, I don’t know how you Cav Scouts have it, so you’ll have to either wait until block leave, AIT*, or you’ve finished all of your training and have reported to your duty station.
If they let you have personal things like laptops, TVs, Xboxs, or other things, then I suggest you get a Xbox and a projector, easier to store in your locker than a TV.
Also, just as a note, try to limit what you get, cause after all of your training you have to pack it to your new home. When I finished I had 4 bags of stuff.
> Thanks for the info i just wish they could fly me out and let play it or something.
I don’t think they’d do that just because you’re going to basic, they might do that if you won a contest or something, but other than that, unless you’re very well known among the guys at 343i, like family, or someone like the Rooster Teeth guys.
Good luck with the Army bro. I got until next winter and then I’m signing up for the Marines. I graduate after that winter, so they might ship me off during summer or later on in the fall. And you know what that means? If Halo 5 comes out in 2014 then I might miss it for the 12 week basic training. Good luck. Hey, and who knows, you might meet my friend who is waiting to be shipped for basic. I don’t know when he leaves.

You would be right but I was talking about getting the game before that.
I remember watching a movie where some fictional nerd was bragging that he got Halo at least a month early. I facepalmed my face in.
