Congratulions 343 for making the worst multiplayer game experience of all FPS games.
Who wants to play FPS with such lag? Focused mode never find a game, it’s totally useless.
Is this game only for americans? Do you work only for americans? Then you should sell your game only in USA.
Let me pick my server region or I’ll give up on this…
Everybody I play with is complaining about it.
I can play other games like BF4 perfectly, without lag, because there I can pick my server region.
I’m Diamond/Onyx and I’m tired to being killed by gold noobs because of that lag…
Where is the fun in playing a multiplayer game with a huge disadvantage?
I paid the same as everyone else in the game, so I deserve the same respect and the same quality of service. Not this garbage.
At least 30 friends from my list are not playing Halo 5 anymore because they got tired of that lag. And the people who are still trying to play (like me) are thinking in give up… So 343 did a really great work outside USA. Again, congratulations! I deserve respect.

I’m from Brazil.
This matchmaking system pratically obligates me to play on US servers… I really don’t know why 343 mantain servers in Brazil if we never play on them…
343i blames brazilians the high lag and does nothing about it to soften it.

And are we wanting region lock again or are we hating it? I have a hard time keeping up.
We only need the option to pick the region server and a more flexible matchmaking system, not a region lock.

I am from Guatemala a 3rth World country, internet here is basic, Luxury connections are from 5 to 10 Megabites, I have a 5 Megabytes connection, I never have problems whit the servers, and the latency isn’t that bad, hope 343 fix your problem.
You want respect but then you go and insult them, yeah that’s not how respects works.

OP has a point here.
I’m from Italy and his situation is pretty much mine: if you are an high rank player outside USA playing a less populated playlist is nearly impossible to find games if not setting expanded search and even on most populated ones search time is high.
Being forced to set expanded search make us to have to deal with all kinds of crap: enemies capable of seeing you before appearing on your screen, with half a second of advantage in every single move for example (this never happened in the past halos, maybe the larger radar made us capable of reacting differently compensating this thing, I don’t know…).
343 shoot itself on the foot not introducing server selection in the first place and even now, binding region preference strictly with rank preference and making even more difficult to find games to high ranked players in less populated areas such Europe or, in OP’s case, Brazil.
The real mistake I think 343 and Bungie did is always the same: founding all their network environment on tests made almost exclusively inside homeland boundaries, USA of course.

I do the same. This is very one sided, I have heard of EU having issues but not brazil so I cannot speculate. There is a reason for everything. I am sure they are working on a fix.
I know this is a sensitive subject for players outside of North America, but let’s keep it civil, alright? That goes for both sides.
