If they don’t, they will either release the same coating for a different core in the store, or just forever have that coating unique to that core. Either outcome is gonna piss literally everyone off, and I assume by this point 343 knows that.

Probably in 10 years when the game is dead or everyone caved and just bough the stuff they want so cross-core wouldn’t even matter

If it’s not making the $$$ in the future, then maybe. Right now though, based on the popular reception of the cat ears, it will not.
I also do not like that we’re only limited to one attachment. I hope they’ll remove that restriction.
