The last update was undeniably a win for 343. I am extremely happy specificaly for the mnk changes. Mnk now is not a complete joke and might stand a chance against controller players. The game is much more fair for both sides now and players need to stop being selfish and respect the opposite input . There is a reason no halo pro has ever used mnk or ever took it seriously and there is a reason for the extremely low population of mnk players up until now. Personaly i will try to bring all my buddies who uninstalled due to how bad mnk felt up until now and make them give the game a second shot. Its good to not feel completely neglected by 343 and dominated by controllers without a chance on fighting back in high diamond games and above. This is undeniably, objectively a great chance for the future of this game and halo on pc should start being seen more seriously as an fps by the mnk pc community. This change will leave the controller casuals able to play the game and to the mnk players a chance to fight back. There is still a lot of work before this game is in the state it should be but these changes are a good step on getting there.
Simple. 343 has unbanned me because i never was cheating. Do you get it now? You never believed i wasnt but here we are. You were wrong and i was telling the truth.

I am not sure its a good idea to get into that topic again. Didnt really work out for me last
time. I was falsely banned and had the community throwing accusations on top of that instead of giving sympathy. Didnt really leave a nice taste in my mouth. All that matters is that 343 re examined the evidence and removed the ban. Now its time to move on.

I was just overtly suspicious. Most definitely should’ve taken a more neutral stance rather than a confrontational one.
Even if I had my doubts about the legitimacy, it probably would’ve been better to keep that to myself.
You have any evidence of his cheating ? If the ban was lifted meaning 343 reviewed his games and clips and realized he hasnt been cheating. Any time a very good player comes out and he gets reported multiple times for cheating and he gets banned. Personally, i know the player and play with him often and he’s really that good whether he’s playing on Xbox or PC. No empty accusations are needed.

Jesus how bad you have to be to not be able to stand against controllers woth M+K?!? No, honestly - the AR has no bullet magnetism whatsoever (sane goes for pretty much every other gun in the gane except BR and pistol), you literally cannot headshot with it (tested on an afker), and has a huge bullet spread the longer you fire it. All those fairytales about controllers having an advantage are just kame excises and justifications for you lack of skill. There are a ton of terrible M+K players out there, sometimes I wonder if that’s an actual person or just a bot, that’s how bad people can be, but when you encounter an actually decent/good OC player they’re simply a different type of beasts, you just cannot keep up with them, and I already olay on max sensitivity… Like I already said in other thread - just turn off crossplay instead of forching it, problem=solved, because that’s what creates the whole issue and those endless, pointless discussions, just put PC players together agains each other, same for the console crowd, and done, everyone’s happy.
Halo’s HCS scene had virtually 0 players using the mouse.
Everyone used controller. That’s an indication of a problem.
So you’re saying that 50 ppl who play tournaments every now and then are right and millions of ppl who play the hame every day are wrong…
HCS is no indication of anything because it happens in a hermetic, isolated scenario a.k.a. BR is the default loadout and everyone uses just that almost the whole time, which is not what’s going on for the average Joe on a daily basis where AR is the default plus there are dozen of other weapons people do utilize.
So please stop this whole pointless “BuT bUT BuT… HCS this HVS that” because you’re only hurting the game, you make 343 believe they’re doing the right move only to later complain you cannot find any matches because there’s no one playing it anymore, join HCS then and play there. Like someone already pointed out in that one thread, 353 being afraid to upset the pro scene is one of the main thing that are hurting the game, if all your focus in effort goes into satisfying that tiny tiny bunch of people than that’s what you’ll get, did we already forgot how dry, nearly dead the game was before the Winter Update? How long qill it take to reach that level again with bad decisions, few months, weeks?
I have been having some issues getting in the maps through custom browser. Some maps seem to be more problematic than others. Might be a connection thing.
It’s great they got it out. Honestly, year after launch they have pretty much got the core of the game out. Not convinced it will bring people back or make it a cult game. I think the moment to capture people has passed and you’d need something more impactful to do that.
I think they’ve either moved on to a new game or are just holding off major developments. Like isn’t there a hire freeze on?
Cynicism aside. There really isn’t any reason they can’t do three month seasons now. Two maps and an armour core ain’t gonna break the bank. So hopefully we get the ball rolling now.

343 will need to roll out another fix soon, I am fazing through enemies when trying to melee them more than ever now, and it seems to me my turning speed is noticeably slower after the last update, plus hit shot registration is much, much worse, and I am sure assist registration is 80% broken.
i swapped to controller after i realized how much easier controller is than mnk, but i’ll give mnk a test run again.
I’m not a huge fan of aim assist on mouse. But there’s been a lot of data found by the community that shows controller has some sort of non-negligable advantage over MnK. If this helps the game feel better to my MnK colleagues out there, then I’m happy they’re seeing improvements.
I would still like to see controller aiming get some changes to more match the legacy aim mechanics though. Infinite has me wind milling around opponents as much or more than H5 heavy aim ever did
