My mind was just absolutely blown by the sheer number of crouch jump accessible routes I just found on Bazaar
…
It was my third or fourth game on the map, and almost every jump that I had been clambering up previously I found out can be done with a crouch jump… there are a couple places here and there that you can only get to with a clamber , but those kinda seem like “radar checkpoints” now that I’ve found out how many jumps can be done through just crouch jumping…
Seriously, start trying it on jumps you think ste slightly too high! You end getting pulled up just the tiniest bit to make it.
(I’m not really and anti- clamber person. But I do respect a lot of the usual points they bring up even if I don’t entirely agree)

I feel like you also don’t realize we’ve had these same crouch jumpable routes in Halo 5 too…They just weren’t as noticable as they are in Halo Infinite.
Clamber still has it’s use though, like in Halo 5 you can get to positions you otherwise couldn’t with crouch jumping. So not a issue.
yeah… one of my friends notice that… it almost sounds like a previous halo leftover move or i wonder if animation glitch… he said you are still able to shoot duiring it too, whereas with clamber you cant. .

Personally, I realise there are a ton of crouch jump spots in H5. –
I’ve just had tons and tons of respectable disagreements with anti-clamber advocates over the last 6 years. I just wanted to point out that the volume of crouch jump spots seems to have gone up significantly in Infinite vs H5. And from what I can tell, places that force a clamber as the only option seem to be a little more rare in Infinite.

Crouch jumps are a huge part of past Halo titles. You have to have “toggle crouch” disabled to effectively do it. It essentially gives you access to faster routes around the map, helps minimize your hitbox during jumps, and doesn’t lock you into an animation so you can perform any combat move during the jump.
If you want to nearly instantaneously raise your skill ceiling, put your controls to bumper jumper and disable toggle crouch, start crouching during almost every jump you perform, and then profit greatly

yeah… crouch jumps been there for a while. but clamber hasnt… only on halo 5… which they dont like and dont play. so it could have been the same in halo 5. they rather play halo mcc then halo 5. sounds like over time you will learn which jumps can be made crotch jumping and which will need clamber… plus some things change between games so you have to kinda check each game to see what old tricks work and dont work.

CROTCH JUMPING But yeah Infinite’s balance between clamber-only spots and actual jumps is much more reasonable. Clambering should be the exception, not the rule.

whooops! lol!
Spring jump from platform to the side area where rockets spawn is so satisfying too
Honestly, as someone who has been against AMM in halo from the beginning I very much like what 343i has done with the movement in infinite
I like that they’ve implemented the AMM for the people who enjoy it but not made it a necessity for those who don’t
I feel this game has heaps of potential
