343 has gotten lots of feedback on Halo 5 on how to improve it so do you guys think that for Halo 6 it will be much improved from Halo 5? Ex… More diverse maps/ different landscapes and maybe even a “classic mode” for the veterans.
Personally i believe Halo 5 was pretty awesome but i believe Halo 6 could be even better… with multiplayer and defiantly campaign…like maybe they should have a prequel like before MC and how humans first encountered aliens…ect…
What do you guys think?
H5 is better than h4 in terms of gameplay, however h4 was better in story, having game modes we expect ready ON launch! A better custimization system (for those who actually care cuz I dont), a working theatre, FAR less bugs, and had game modes and maps working. I mean in h5 so many maps get excluded due to issues and game modes also carry that issue as well as being changed to play differently than what it originally used to (original h5 griffball with abilities for example, like are you serious?). H5s gameplay alone (which still has a long way to go) is the only reason why I enjoy it more than h4, but in terms of being a functional properly setup game, h4 wins.
The question should be what surprise will 343 have with h6? Cuz none of their games have been consistent and differ from the other which just shows they’ve no idea what they want to do.
fyi: halo reach is your prequel, covenant found the humans on outer planets of harvest and war started.
I made a post in this forum about how a mix of Halo 4, Halo 5 and the MCC would create the ultimate Halo game. People trolled me because apparently rather than reading the post they could only just manage to read the title. What I meant is that a Halo 4-tier story, Halo 5-tier gameplay and MCC-tier customization, and the ability to unlock everything through gameplay challenges, is the perfect storm in creating a killer Halo game. And I stand by that idea.
343 tend to make their games with one outstanding factor and several factors that fall short. If they added the best parts of their last three games, they’d have the perfect game. And seeing as 343 have listened to criticism and have responded accordingly, I’d say I have some faith, if cautiously, for their next FPS. Halo Wars 2 doesn’t count because I have a first-class ticket on that hype train!
Warzone has taken a HUGE step backwards. Especially in terms of party size and competitiveness. Same with Warzone Assault.
343 needs to rethink the whole warzone gametype as a whole.

the mode was never meant to be competitive, its a blow off mode through and through

Not everyone blows off warzone. Some players made it into their own. Just like with any other playlist. Even social playlists are played competitively by players that want to play competitively.

Im not gonna deny that social modes have a hint of competitive nature too them, however warzone, with its inherent imbalance (because of the req system) the possibility of it really being a competitive mode is non-existent. Players can make it feel competitive but in the end its just as casual as infection.
Now, i defined casual on another post as not trying ones hardest, and in warzone, with the larger player numbers that is more likely to occur. Especially when the weapons within the mode are designed to require less skill to use then their original counter-parts. The mode just does not cater to competitive play. Of course since 2 teams are fighting to win there will always a level of competition within the mode. Yet it was never designed to be taken to the level the some players took it, and when that small population ruins it for others in the mode (dont really care if you agree with that or not) there is a problem.
I have the same issue with those doing it in arena as well, but there are plenty of mode choices within arena that one can shift between and feel a noticeable competitive difference. In warzone there is no escape from it. Feel free to disagree, but i see the party size change becoming permanent. If it doesn’t, then im sure we will see another change. Im all for the different playlists (team and solo search) but I dont see that happening, at least not soon.

I’ve played on actual teams that played warzone competitively and I’ve faced teams that play competitively. There have been times where we had only 3 losses in about 100 games of warzone, same with other teams. This playlist’s potential for competitive play is out the roof, because I’ve witnessed it on both ghetto winning and losing ends.
I’m just saying it can definitely be played competitively because I’ve seen what teams can do with communication/teamwork/strategy and most definitely the req system. Ever tried playing a team with level 3 reqs vs the opposing team at level 6 or 8? It’s a hell of a difference and an uphill battle, just comes down to how teams use their teamwork and strategy.
Just saying that warzone has HUGE potential to stay or become a really popular and competitive playlist.
Halo 5 has had a lot of issues and truthfully I’ve only stuck around because I needed to finish my computer, and then it broke within a month. This is the only game where I have had trouble simply connecting with a friend, a random disconnect or having to reset at least 1-3 times is guaranteed every time I try to party up. Plus the controls, I’ve played enough FPS’s to know that the controls in this game are off and just don’t seem to work.
Network aside this has turned into a fantastic game. Forge is nearly on the Dev level, Warzone, when not being farmed/pinned to a base is fun. Heck even the run for Achilles was an interesting attempt at teaming up. The best part is all the variety of weapons, vehicles, and soon gametypes with the custom games browser. If the could just fix the weird bugs, Campaign, and network issues this game would be perfect.
If Halo 6 is released like Halo 5 is now minus the issues above it would sell fantastically.

I beg to differ, a team using lvl 3 reqs versus a team with lvl 6-8 reqs isnt a uphill battle. Its a slaughter, for one, the other team got those reqs by being inherently better then the lvl 3 reqs at the beginning of the game. And as I said, the better reqs are designed to be easier to use (basically give free kills) and if the opposing team doesnt have those same reqs to counter they will lose. You can have all the strategy you want, but in the end no amount of strategy will make a blade of grass better then a knife. (I know someone is going to get creative with this so I am really interested in seeing how the grass could win, no the knife holder is not allergic to grass lol)
Someone is going to bring up history in some way, yes strategy won many battles that should have been lost but those were confined to reality of there own time. Try to counter a rocket or sniper with a level 3 req on a warzone map (especially when all the other team has access to those power weapons and your team doesnt)
If reqs were taken out then ya, warzone could definitely be a competitive mode, but with them included, snowballing and general imbalance throws a wrench in the dream.
I am well aware of the occurrences in which teams are evenly matched (which sadly seems to occur when both teams are continually using their reqs at a similar pace) I just dont believe they happen enough to make the argument that warzone is competitive. (PS. I have no data confirming that, its completely based on personal experience and experimentation with groups I play with)

That’s what saying! Good teams build their reqs quicker and starve the other team from building their reqs (called req starving) by capping bases, ai kills, and Spartan kills. If they can quickly build reqs and keep the other team contained from being able to build their own…then said team will have a big strategic advantage moving forward in the game. It’s a legitimate strategy used to quick core other teams. I’ve been on both ends of it.
What I’m saying it warzone has the biggest potential out of any playlist to be competitive. With so much variance of things to do during a warzone game. Map control, req use, team coordination, ai all play a factor in how a team could potentially win a game. And the game could be played out many different ways on how a team will win.

I must be playing a different game than you. There’s nothing social about H5 in ANY game mode I play in. Tryhards everywhere.
