343 has abandoned the forums

Unfortunately they have and this is not beneficial for them at all. They’ll never know what the fans have to say about their game. And this will only lead to bugs and improvements never to be resolved. And the game will likely die.

So if 343 doesn’t actually care about their OWN forums of their OWN IP, then why do they even bother to keep it up and running along with the rest of the website? I’ll bet that it’s a waste of money, something that both Microsoft and 343 REALLY hate to waste given their greedy nature.

Also shows why Infinite is barely getting the TLC is desperately needs to stay alive in the market.

Only the 343 community team reads the forums. None of the actual developers do. Though they claim this is still the best source for feedback.

It’s better than the Halo 3 era B.net where you’d have Forum Ninjas outright gaslight you about the BR Spread. Maybe Bungie opted for silence when they realized they didn’t know how to talk lmao

Woah. 2007 must of been a different time.

“You have no rights, play nice” used to mean something

Arguing with or even insulting others isn’t illegal.

No. But without moderation, flamewars can easily ensue.
And some people are petty enough to dox someone if they disagree on topics.

Plus politics get brought up a-plenty, which just invites discord as online anonymity allows people to take discussions to the extremes.

It is all just a mess overall.

Plus, you would have scammers and such causing the forum to deteriorate.
“Can I trust that link? Mods don’t exist so it is uncertain.”

Moderators are a necessity to ensure that other actions cannot occur.

Mentioning any type of moderation flagging will get your post hidden by the way.

So if you don’t do that and stay within the forum CoC, you won’t get flagged.

Bungie still doesn’t know how to that recently because of some harassment issues they are hiding from the entire community

I wouldn’t treat Bungie’s silence lightly.

Bungie is certainly doing better than Infinite in terms of content but the harassment kicked up.

I hadn’t checked in on them in a while but that story was all over twitter.

One of the players banned for cheating actually moved closer to one of bungie’s studio and threatened them directly online.

They’re even suing the guy over it. Not to say that excludes them from all criticism. It’s just they are trying to actively protect employees at the moment.

Bungie’s silence is the norm, and the community was not happy with them waiting for the day before the season started to give any info. It’s been the worst season yet from what I’ve read on the forum.

This is just my opinion,

As far as the harassment goes, it’s bungie that is all about drama and the poor me nonsense. It’s time for them to grow up and at least try to act like adults instead of complaining to the player base how “creating content is hard” that they have been doing for a good couple years, and stop pushing their agenda on the community when it comes to politics, etc… that doesn’t belong in gaming at all.

Protecting your employees is one thing, but I tend to take things Bungie says lightly because how dishonest they have been for years now, especially since Activision dropped them. Oh, you’re correct, Destiny has more content, but more doesn’t mean better. The quality of the game/content has drastically dropped.

Think this had more than run it’s course
