Basically just saying if you don’t like halo Infinite don’t play
Edit: Says he was talking about all entertainment but pretty much replied to a halo tweet and now trying to back step so he doesn’t end up like the BFV director, he also then liked a tweet that said halo fans are the most whinest fans.
I honestly don’t feel that’s a bad take. He’s not attacking the person, just saying that if it’s getting to you it’s ok to move away for a bit and come back later perhaps.
You guys are grasping at straws to demonize him. I don’t like the state Halo Infinite is in either, and I haven’t played a match in about a month now. But its been 6 months since the beta, if you’re looking to be angry at Halo Infinite still, you’re making up excuses at this point. The rest of us are just plain tired of 343’s neglect. We’re not happy, but everything that has been said, could be said.
He has a point, if you’re spending your own time to get frustrated at something, then getting mad that you’re getting frustrated, then you need to do something else that will make you happy.
He isn’t saying “If you don’t like it don’t play it.” He’s saying If you aren’t happy then find something that will make you happy.
Even then, I say, if you don’t like Halo Infinite, yeah. Don’t play. Don’t add to the player count. Maybe check in if there is a big update, but otherwise don’t add to that player count. Let 343 see how their mess is going and how many people they lost. Show them how badly they need to come out and tell us what’s wrong, and how they plan to fix it, and when. We should be past telling them this crap. Instead of telling them, show them how many people they need to win back. Otherwise, its been 6 months post-beta. There isn’t much more we can say. Let Infinite fade and see if 343 can resuscitate the game or let it go to life-support.
Until then, I’ll keep using the waypoint forums to try and work through my writer’s block.
You have a dedicated consumerbase that want more and when people are not enjoying or actively using the product you made for them, you should self criticize and re-evaluate your choices in order to make the product better designed for the target audience consumers.
Instead your target audience is annoyed by your choices, so instead of actually comparing what they liked in the previous titles and compare it to how they dislike the changes to the current design in order to make an act to correct your previous mis-steps… … … your response is to say “Well no one is making you play this game.”
It is like what happened in France with the whole “Let them eat cake” thing (albiet we are only metaphorically starving and not literally starving.)
You made something.
Something that people wanted to be a sequel to Halo 3.
Halo 4 failed to fulfill this requirement.
Halo 5 did as well.
Halo Infinite was something that was promising and that players were excited for. Only when it came to execution it has been a dozen or so problems with bugs and glitches, with about a handful of even more problems that were added in by design !! Certain expectations were warranted and the bare minimum seems to be done to meet them.
People are upset and you just deflect with this as a poor attempt at shirking responsibilities and to act facetious?
Because of past failures of Halo 4 and Halo 5 the bar is set so low that it is a tripping hazard in Hell, and yet here we see you limbo dancing with the devil.
“Here is the deal. If you don’t like the way we are running Halo now at 343, whose goal is to reach a broader audience, don’t play our games or watch our show. You’re getting too old to be whining about video games. Go find a new game to play if you don’t like Infinite.”
-Basically the same message without the sugar coating
We are not their target audience anymore. We are basically stepkids. 343 does not love us. We are not their fans. We are just leftover grown children from Microsoft’s ex marriage with Bungie. 343 doesn’t want to change themselves for us. It’s the hard truth. Microsoft won Halo in the divorce, and they can paint it whatever color they want, even glitter purple with cat ears. If we don’t like it, basically, tough. Play something else.
That being said, sadly, we all just might someday.
If Forge is good, I’ll stick around. Unless 343 sells a white and purple coating, or a really sleek Venator type armor set, I don’t really need to buy any new coatings or anything really. I only ever had one style for all the games, so if I can’t ever look that way, I guess I’m satisfied enough with my current armor. I don’t need to buy or collect stuff I won’t use.
Stay if you want to force yourself to, but if you can’t stand the game anymore, join the 20 million that also quit playing. I truly hate to say it, but it’s just the cold harsh reality. Halo Infinite will never be a Bungie era Halo game.
343 continue to dissapoint with Infinite so I’ve walked away from the game until it’s in a state that can be described as complete, which probably won’t be the case for years to come
Regardless, I’ve recently gone back to the Xbox 360 to catch up on some games & I’ve been having a great time, also Mortal Kombat 2 is just unfair, the AI counters your moves before you finish the input ಥ_ಥ
the best way to communicate your dissatisfaction with Infinite currently is to simply stop engaging with it, do not purchase from the store, don’t let a flashy trailer distract you from the current issues & let the player-count drop to at the least show those with power that this game needs help & feedback genuinely listened to.
