I know that by March 31st that Bungie is not longer going to be recording Halo 3 stats, so is 343 going to be recording them or is it just going to remain in-game only?

We can only hope it is detailed or very detailed. I would be sad if they only imported ‘some’ of the medals and not all or the ranking system chart. I loved looking at that stuff on bungie. I’m still confused why the reach stats don’t show the perfection medals you’ve earned. I hope Halo 3 at least has that medal shown on 343 whenever the transition occurs.
I hope they keep the complete history with detailed stats for every game.
Stats will remain in-game only, they will only be doing in-depth Stats for Halo: Reach, CEA and Halo 4 upon release.

In fact, Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODST stats will continue to be reflected in your Halo Waypoint Career</mark>. To access your Halo Career, log on to the website, and click the drop-down arrow located to the right of your gamertag at the top of the screen. Then, click the Career Overview panel. There you will see the total number of Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo Wars, and Halo: Reach Campaign and Multiplayer games you’ve played throughout your entire Halo career. You can also see Games Played, Time Played, Total Kills, and Kill/Death information for each title by selecting it in the Halo Stats Summary column.
They say “will not be supported on Waypoint <mark>at the time of this transition</mark>”
It is possible in the future such features will become available but their main focus is Reach, CEA and Halo 4.
If you go to your career overview there is an option to view your older halo stats. So I imagine that they will still continue to update here.

They’re only visible in your waypoint career, sadly.
That sucks cause it only shows how long you have played on multiplayer and on campaign. And on my halo 3 stats it says that i have only played 14 hours… i know for a fact that i have played longer than 14 hours. I wish they brought back medals and all the stuff that was on the Bungie.net site… That was the best.

It sucks that there’s no way to see our updated Halo 3 stats – I’d love to see the current information on my account.
Still, I can see why the don’t focus on that, with Halo 4, 5 and all that lovely stuff.
I wish they still updated.
I know this thread is old, and that probably all of 343’s resources are working on keeping Halo 4 updated and tuned with the community’s feedback, but do you think that someday, on a future waypoint update, Halo 3’s stats will show up in more detail?
I know that before the last Waypoint update, the playtime showed how many DAYS we’ve played Halo 3. Now it only shows HOURS, so whenever we reach 23:59, it goes back do 00:00.
I don’t think they are going to update anything related to H3.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but 343 is still tracking Halo 3 data on the background, right?
Or did I misinterpret it when the servers migrated a year ago?
If a monitor or someone at 343 could answer me this, I’d be grateful 
I doubt they are but if they did it would be great.
I’d like to be able to see my stats again.
