Something I loved in Halo 3 was that eventually the DLC maps were required for almost every playlist. I really hope 343 does that, so I can actually get to play on some of them. They all look like great maps; far better than most of the ones that come with the base game, and it would be a shame to never get to play on them.
As much as a lot of us would like this, they waited way too long to implement this. The population is simply too low to make these maps required. Have you seen the DLC playlist population? They are disturbingly low.
The only way 343i would be able to do this is if they drastically reduced the price for ALL of the maps permanently. I don’t see that happening though unfortunately. This situation sucks, I played on the Reach DLC more often than the H4 DLC, and that’s saying something.
No.
I shouldn’t have to pay extra for a few maps just so I can play most of the game.
Halo 4 DLCs don’t have players… And that is how good they are…
There was a thread about this earlier https://forums.halowaypoint.com/yaf_postst220979_Why-not-make-DLC-required-like-Halo-3.aspx
I would quickly leave if H4 went the way of H3. I shouldn’t have to feed 343/Bungie money to play my favorite game modes. Call me cheap, but I’ve got far more important things that I want to spend my money on
