343 guilty spark is still alive according to primordium and the newer books reference that he stole a UNSC ship.

If you love the expanded universes lore, I personally would say that they’re quite essential to understanding the bigger picture in H5:G despite the fact 343 have said its not necessary but would be more rewarding to those who have.

It’s possible, but he would most likely be a reference or Easter egg type deal.
Probably in a future story. Don’t really see him fitting into Halo 5’s current narrative, they already have a lot going on with Locke, the Guardians, Warden Eternal.

Yeah, Spark is. But not his original personality which he’s reverted to. His purpose now is to find the surviving Forerunners. The personality that is programmed to contain the flood is “dead.”

If I remember the books correctly then he has reverted to the personality of Chaka.
