343 Guilty Spark in Spartan ops?

This is probably already here on this site somewhere, but I haven’t seen it here, but if it is, please redirect. (be aware that I am a complete noob here) If their isn’t one…

!SPOILER ALERT!

Okay, so, If I remember correctly, doesn’t Guilty spark come back at the end of one of the forerunner books? I can’t remember which one, some ONI guys searching the Arks ruins find him(well, his barely functioning form anyway), and at the end of the book, they throw him out, only to find he is now in their ship. Then Spark puts them all to sleep and sets a course to where the librarian is, which we now know (at least we think we know) is requiem. So… wouldn’t this mean we will see him on requiem? If not in campaign, which we didn’t, then in spartan ops? Also, time wise, I don’t remember if the book stated when this happend, but it did happen between 2553 and 2557, which means he is either already on requiem or heading there at this time. Now, since we haven’t seen him at all, I think its a bit more likely he is still in route, but he could already be there, and he’s just hiding or something. As to what he would do… Well, he’s probably not hostile (to humans anyway) since he seems to have contracted amnesia (somehow), and determined everything that happened on the ark was done by a different version of himself. Of course, it may have nothing to do with requiem since he’s heading to where he thinks the librarian is, but its a possibility. Although how he would affect anything thats going on is up to 343, although palmer would probably just shoot him.

Again, I apologize if this is already on this site somewhere, and please redirect if it is. But I haven’t seen it, so… just though I would bring it up. GOOD DAY SIR!

Off topic: Also, Spartan ops is awesome and I hope they continue it, despite the games falling popularity :frowning:
Your opinions Please!

(I am Noob, correct me If wrong)
PEACE

Interesting theory… Makes sense too!

That is not Guilty Spark, that is monitor Chakas. Greg Bear confirmed its not Spark.

At NYCC last year I talked to Frank O’ Connor after the Halo panel. I asked him if we’ll ever see GS again in the future Halo games. He told me that they weren’t done with that character yet.

Well, this thread died quick. Anyway, I will (attempt) to answer this.

> That is not Guilty Spark, that is monitor Chakas. Greg Bear confirmed its not Spark.

Even if he denies it, it doesn’t add up with what is presented in the book. It seemed to me that the book implied that chakas IS spark, especially the end. Not to mention they found him in the arks remains, or at… you know what I mean. Of course, we don’t know if Chakas really is spark, but the book’s ending does imply that it is spark. I do not mean to offend if I have, I do this all in a neutral state. I will not deny Proof if it exists. I you have proof of his denial, please bring it forward. However, again, it simply wouldn’t add up (for me at least) with his book.

Also, Halopedia seems to thinks its him. I have not taken any information from there, I have merely used it to confirm my suspicions, since its become a quite reliable source of information on the halo lore, here is a link:

Again, I may be using outdated information, if so, please correct me. Thank you for your time, If your even reading this.

343 Guilty Spark is one of SEVERAL fragments of Chakas, technically they are of the same mind. But Spark as a personality coming back? I don’t see what makes him that special.

> 343 Guilty Spark is one of SEVERAL fragments of Chakas, technically they are of the same mind. But Spark as a personality coming back? I don’t see what makes him that special.

First, I thank you. I did not know about the fragments.

Second, I never said it made him special, I am merely pointing out that we may see him in spartan ops, and how and why we could see him there. Again, how he would affect the story of Spartan ops is up to 343, but I’m just saying its a possibility.

I neither love nor hate him, I merely sought to bring this possibility to attention, seeing as I myself could not find this adressed elsewhere on this site.

Thank you for your time, if your still reading that is.

As with all my posts, I never intend to insult.
