To be fair these servers are far below par. How is it this is the only game so many of us have issues playing?

I have issues playing Warframe, Destiny (heh), as well as countless other Xbox One games. And by that, I mean that I lag out maybe once or twice a month, if at all. I barely have any issues with MCC, as it is!

Yes, he may be complaining, but it’s no isolated incident, I think all of us feel this pain to a degree.

Well MCC is p2p, they were intended to be on dedis but due to the colossal failure at launch they went on p2p. H5 is the only game ive had connection issues, and I know many have experienced this too. This could be symptomatic of MS more than anything as it seems their entire service seems to fail weekly.
The only issue I ever have on Halo 5 is that random player rubber banding all over the place due to their poor connection. I never get disconnected so no, keep dedicated servers. I can’t stand the randomness of P2P connections.

Are you playing the same games we’re playing?
MCC is awful. I literally lived in matchmaking and have 2 50’s and can’t tell you how many times I, as well as other teammates would lag out. This games servers are absolute garbage.
I have BO3 for the playstation 4 and let me tell you, those are the absolute greatest servers i have ever played on. Literally feels like LAN. I’ve played Ghosts, AW and BO3 for current gen and i have no server issues yet MCC and H5 has become a completely different story.
I don’t get disconnected but I get the occasional warping/ no point playing experience, focused does next to nothing and there is nothing wrong with wanting to see my ping or at least a green bar, people who defend 343 are complete morons

I forgot about that. That was so annoying.
That happend less than instances of lag that I get now, and I had a nice green bar to tell me the quality of the game,

Exactly my point. OP makes valid points and has a decent argument; it’s just that he ends half of his posts with credibility-destroying 343i hate.

I agree with you… Why is it 343 cant even handle doing the basic things like “server selection”? Let me pick my server and show me my ping. This isn’t anything new. A lot of other games have this feature as a simple basic option… What do we get… We get smoke screens from 343. I have no idea why they thought it was a good idea to throw skill rank into the mix by connection… The two shouldn’t even be together… And if I pick “focused” that doesn’t mean im always pinging to the best server. I think it times out and throws me into anything it decides. The smoke screen is this “matchmaking preference”! Heres how I think 343 looks at it! 
- focused = We will try to match you up by connection and skill but don’t count on it!!
- balanced = The word alone is scary and confusing… We will blind fold you and have you walk a tight rope then we will decide how to match you.
- expanded = Oh we are going to have fun here! We are going to throw everyone together from all over in a blender and throw it on high speed!
Someone can be warping because of THEIR connection to the server, not yours. Some games may appear better due to things like netcode that can hide bad connections a little. I have been playing since launch and have almost no issues with the servers. Disconnects have been few, and usually on my end, and I’ve seen less than 5 people warping, rubber banding, etc. People like to blame servers regardless of their quality because it gives them an excuse for poor play.
I don’t think the servers themselves are most people’s issues. It is their proximity to the server they end up playing on. This is why region lock existed. I’m on the east coast of the US, which explains why I have few issues with my proximity to servers. 343 can’t do much about the fact that some places just don’t have the playing population to put dedicated servers everywhere.
