343 GIVING HALO YOUTUBERS WEAPON SKINS (IDEA)

There are a number of Halo collective youtube channels, which consist of groups of other content creators creating Halo content for a single channel e.g. HaloZone or Readyuplive, etc. These channels can create a number of different videos on 343’s games, covering news, new REQ’s, weapon gameplays, constructive feedback or whatever. Perhaps 343 could give their appreciation for these channels if possible and if the time is there, by creating some unique skins that only members of these channels could have access to(much like only 343 members have access to the exclusive 343 unicorn skin set). Of course they can’t make skins for every channel like this, but maybe for the larger ones or at least the well known ones. This would definitely strengthen the bond between the youtubers and 343, but also give the youtubers more motivation to supply more content and do more stuff for the community.
This is just a suggestion, leave your thoughts if you have any

I could see 343 giving them early access to you tubers and stuff so that they can get the community hyped for the update even more. But giving you tubers their own private skins to dance around In front of fans would not go down well in my opinion.

If you do that, then you’re going to need to make a set of rules of what counts as “larger ones” or “well known ones”. Is it someone who just spams their videos on social media and reddit all day, is it someone who has over 50,000 subscribers, is it someone with over 10,000 Twitter followers?

Personally, I don’t think we need it.

I completely disagree with giving Youtubers their own skins. And as one person here said how would said Youtuber get qualified for private skins. There would be many, many variables at play. And it would stir up the community.

Also i didn’t know that the 343 industriea skin set was exclusive to their employees. Because I have it for my magnum, and I am pretty sure I don’t work at 343.

I disagree on it wholey being contructive a lot of the youtubers have this idea that you should conform to what they think because they are right and you are wrong if you have a different opinion.

But I do agree it would be nice to have some thing based on various channels but I think it should be available to every one with no real conditions other than it costing a set amount of points for said skin and it should stay in the store in its own section.

I think the youtuber them selves should probally help with the design cause it should be some thing they want to equip.

There was a glitch where some people were getting it.

I got it through the Spartans armory req pack awhile ago. Which did promise some of the more rare skins. It sure as hell delivered.

There’s too much reliance on youtubers as is in this community.

He’s likely talking about the new skins that cover the AR, BR, SMG, Pistol and DMR.

The previous ones that only covered the AR and Pistol were accidentally released to a small amount of people with a REQ pack issue so they just let everyone get them with the Spartan’s Armoury pack a while ago.

That makes more sense.

Sorry if this offends anyone lol, but youtubers don’t really deserve their “own” weapon skins more than anyone else.
They’re just members of the community like us that share their thoughts or entertainment differently than we do.
Let’s take Greenskull for example, his videos informing people about the new REQ list is no different than a fellow Halo Waypoint user talking about it in the forums, so why would Greenskull get a special skin? because he’s popular?
This whole idea seems silly to me.

I dunno guys I’d don Act Man skins on my guns.

He’s super chill.

It was a glitch in the req pack it was never meant to have been given. There were players who were dumping money into it getting mad they couldn’t get it because it didn’t give every one it.

I agree for the most part, but with your specific example of Green skull I beg to disagree. On occasion his channel releases exclusive news given permission, by 343i. Hell he has even made an appearance during one of 343i’s live streams. If he were to get a skin, it’s probably because he’s a pseudo employee.

I would prefer to keep channels from getting their own skins though. Seems like a bad idea to me.

THIS

Imo I think they could make Halo Youtuber skins but make em accessible to everyone. But I disagree about giving exclusive skins to the “larger channels and well known ones”. There are small Youtubers that make good content. Proximitty is a good Youtuber, his content is interesting to watch. But if 343 showed favoritism to all the bigs Halo channels and made them skins, hell would break loose.

More so than it already has in the Halo comment section anyway, yeah.
We don’t need YouTube skins anyway…we already have loads of MLG ones, lets have some bloody actual camo, yeah?
